  1. Sounds like an issue with your DAW maybe - try studio one 3 way easier to use and setup controllers
  2. Get yourself one of these bad boys (rig kontrol 3) works awesome mac or windows - I luv it - you will not regret it - they are very hard to come by but this is your all in one solution - I just bought another from Reverb to have a backup - also my original wah was not working so bought another mostly for that reason I also use an Emotiva A-100 with a little Dot MKIII tube preamp with SHD650'S headphones - sounds amazing - little over the top but to me was well worth the investment - if I was to choose only one amp tough call Emotiva has raw power and the tube amp gives you more warmth - having both I can mix between the two amps Oh I would buy a powered usb hub to plug Rig kontrol 3 into then plug into usb in your computer - helps to remove depending on pc to drive it as its only usb powered unit https://reverb.com/item/17498438-native-instruments-rig-kontrol-2010-black https://reverb.com/item/14791735-native-instruments-guitar-rig-kontrol-3 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Native-Instruments-Guitar-Rig-3-Midi-Controller-MIDI-Pedalboard/132886871781?hash=item1ef0acbee5:g:tmIAAOSwsQJcEfls:rk:7:pf:0
  3. Quick question if I keep your older pink floyd presets and dump your new ones into a new user folder will the ir's still reference back to the new 2.70 floyd presets versions that are in a different folder ? without having to do anything - thanks
  4. Would like in the future to assign a switch to an individual snapshot not the way it is done now as a group would be less confusing to setup each snapshot per one switch New update info: not much but nice sees some progress Helix Native 1.71 New Features • Block Drag and Drop—Individual blocks in Helix Native can now be dragged and dropped between it and HX Edit or another Helix Native instance/panel • Paste Before and Paste After—Blocks copied to the clipboard can now be inserted before or after the selected block. Right-click a block and select "Paste Before" or "Paste After” Improvements/Changes • Quick Clear—Hovering your mouse over a block again displays a small “x” icon. Click the icon to clear the block Bug Fixes • In Pro Tools, the compare function would load only the selected preset — FIXED • In Logic Pro X, after moving an instance of Helix Native to another channel strip location, the compare state could sometimes reverse — FIXED • In Final Cut Pro, the master input and output sliders could load at -120dB — FIXED Compatible OS: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
  5. Newer version out got a message you have run out of authorizations - no biggie get out of DAW then restart DAW - message pops up you have unlimited authorizations - all good Thinking about it I was not signed into forums (Line6 account) which on my end is normal always have to sign in all the time never remembers me but after I authorized Native I was signed into forums again without doing so - so maybe you have to be signed into your account before launching DAW and that would have been a warning message free authorization - have to try that next time
  6. Simple all software is here https://line6.com/software/
  7. Hi Guys: This is a great trick Globally if you want to detune or tune higher - I only want to use it to tune eb flat but dont want to actually detune my guitar - works great What I did is use 2 instances of native first one in your vst list will be just a pitch whammy and then after that add a second instance of native that would be your main native preset - these instances of native are on one track but make sure pitch whammy instance is first in the chain (see screenshot of pitch whammy instance and settings lower right for eb flat) - you can play with the Level but you dont have to do to much with it I wouldn't crank it as the pitch change is still working - to loud it will make your preset louder so back it off a bit like mine shown - luv it works great globally for any preset Shut it off to go back to 440 - pretty simple Second here is a great freeware vst tuner (Gtune) I use it on the my native track also its at the end of the vst chain on that one track - I also have a whammy and sound volume on same track with expression pedals one for each - works great with a rig kontrol 3 interface Here is the link to the free tuner and it works well https://www.gvst.co.uk/gtune.htm Hope this helps you :)
  8. Just pick up a rig kontrol 3 interface/foot controller - studio one 3 and you will be in helix native heaven - its a perfect marriage - easy to setup midi and you can even turn your lights on your pedal board with studio one 3 - pretty cool stuff - look around on ebay and Reverb - I just bought a second one just to have a backup This is on a PC by the way - no idea how well it works on a mac but would assume it would work fine - its made to work on both
  9. So why would you need a vst host not much different - I can hear youtube etc. in the background and jam along with Studio One on screen - works great
  10. Just tried demo of Cantabile Performer - could not get it to work - helix loaded but no sound
  11. Just use a decent DAW and there is no tuner yet
  12. Purchased the cyber deal - thanks line6 - no issues on Windows 7 Pro - only thing is after signing in Native gui went black - restart DAW all good
  13. Is all of these threads about Mac OS - anyone here having issues with Windows version ? thanks
  14. Interesting guys - thanks much - great info - my rig kontrol 3 is old but very good lots of midi control also - comments make my decision much easier
  15. ? are you saying Native is a winner for you
  16. Great info Zolko - no latency here all is well - want to take advantage of sale on now but need to know which direction to go - dont gig out just banging away on leads and backingtracks
  17. I wouldn't question it but had to sell my 6,000$ system and now on a pretty decent engineering dell laptop - just not sure I am getting all of the blocks I am suppose to as we know in snapshots some are shut off or on and have a pretty powerful interface - rig kontrol 3
  18. Curious would buying Helix LT help with not having patch limitations ? - anyone using Helix LT and Native - was the sound better ? more options open up using a Helix LT ? My concern is if using payware tones not sure if I would be getting the preset to work as intended with helix native Basically just want to use it in a daw but not be limited by computer and buying a Helix LT would insure I am getting entire preset to be loaded as intended - no grayed out blocks One other thing I wouldn't know if a block was intended to be grayed out due to the snapshot differences - anyway to know if a block was grayed out due to the pc power ? thanks guys
  19. Good point wrong product - sorry - stomp is pretty limited
  20. updated to 2.70 - leads me to think its a Helix board not plugin also
  21. https://www.emusician.com/gear/review-line-6-hx-effects Appears you can to what extent I would look more into it
  22. I would spend a bit more and just go for the Helix LT - thats the way I will go - way more for the buck
  23. Yes it would doesnt matter - both helix and native use same presets
