  1. 2.62 and the model packs are now live for POD HD500, HD Pro, and HD Bean users. HD500X and HD Pro X users should also update to 2.62, as it fixes a bug.
  2. I have zero information on specific dealer availability, but we started shipping units out a few days ago.
  3. We have a fix for the Global EQ and it'll be deployed as FW 2.62 along with HD500, HD Pro, and HD Bean support very soon.
  4. I always record at 24-bit/44.1kHz (unless a clients' files are different), so my POD HD Pro is set to 44.1kHz.
  5. I might agree if there were any other reason for staggering releases other than development time and testing. There's not. We'd LOVE to have had them all ready at the same time. Yes, we could've sat on HD500X and HD Pro X until the other three were done. We didn't, because we said we wouldn't since January. Regardless, 2.6 and model packs for the other three aren't too far out now.
  6. If we had a bunch of free time (we don't), it might be interesting to release an alternate "No DSP message" version of POD HD firmware: One wah, one volume, one compressor, one EQ, one stomp, one amp/cab, one mod, one delay, and one reverb, all on a single serial path... with the DSP-intensive effects models removed entirely.
  7. Code optimization has effectively zero audible impact. The two SKUs will continue to sound identical to one another.
  8. There's one primary reason for releasing for HD500X and HD Pro X first—their faster 400MHz SHARCs made it easier to optimize existing DSP blocks, and therefore, accommodate the Global EQ without breaking anyone's presets. HD500, HD Pro, and HD (Bean) have a slower 333MHz SHARC, which required a bit more work. Yes, we could've waited for all of them to be ready, but that'd be a lame ploy to blindly appease users of older SKUs for no real practical reason. And again, this is something we've been very transparent about since we first announced 2.6 and the model packs back in January.
  9. Excerpt from the release notes: Known Issues Set List Names—If during the update process new presets are optionally loaded to overwrite the previous set, Set List names may not correlate to the new presets appropriately. This is because renaming Set Lists is not a part of the firmware update process. Set List names may be changed in the hardware using a variety of methods: System Reset—Pressing (and holding down) the four-way navigation pad to the left while powering up will perform a Global Settings reset. This action will reset all settings to their factory default and requires a recalibration of the on-board expression pedal. Instructions for pedal calibration can be found here. Due to the pedal recalibration, it is generally recommended to update the Set List names using the manual method described below. Manual—Set Lists may be renamed manually by simply highlighting a Set List name and pressing the SAVE button. Use the four encoders beneath the main display and press SAVE to complete. The presets in firmware v2.60 correlate to the following Set List names, as seen in the main display from left to right, top to bottom: BEST OF HD FX HEAVY SONGS / STYLE BASS/ACO/VOC L6LINK DT VARIAX USER 1 USER 2 Hope this helps.
  10. I'm 90% sure PV Panama was based on the original block logo 5150 (considered by many to be the best-sounding). If you're used to playing newer revs, it may feel a bit unfamiliar.
  11. You're using an HD500X or HD Pro X with all of the 2.6 items installed from Monkey? 1. Press and hold VIEW to open the Setup menu. 2. Using the 4-way, page right to the very last setup page. You should see a list of installed model packs. If it says "Standard Set" (or similar; not in front of a unit now), the Metal Pack isn't being seen for some reason. If you don't see the page at all, 2.6 wasn't installed correctly. Please keep us in the loop. :) EDIT: Simulpost.
  12. Could you give us a list of model names you don't recognize?
  13. 2.6 isn't quite available for HD500, HD Pro, or HD (Bean) just yet. HD500X and HD Pro X support just landed yesterday.
  14. Oof. Thanks, Disaster007. Reported. We'll get to the bottom of it.
  15. Which pack or bundle did you purchase? It should be right before BF Double Nrm Pre.
  16. It should be right before BF Double Nrm Pre, but I've been checking on PODs with the Fully Loaded Bundle. If it's not showing up for Vintage Pack guys, please let me know!
  17. 18. Ah, yes. You need to reset your system parameters, and the new setlist names show up. However, if you restore setlists or a bundle, your custom setlist names should return.
  19. Don't remember seeing LVM in any of the new presets.
  20. Setlist 6 is "Variax" (new presets) Setlist 7 is "User 1" Setlist 8 is "User 2"
  21. If you plan on sharing those patches with others, absolutely.
  22. All of the HD amps have pre models. The ones ported from XT have never had pre models. Basically, the ones with "Line 6" before the name (and Pete Anderson Custom) do not have pre models.
  23. If you're running into StageSource, yeah, you could EQ your monitors independently of what's being sent to FOH. Global EQ's routing wasn't designed for this purpose specifically, but StageSource users could consider it a happy accident. Unfortunately for DT users—yeah, Global EQ doesn't apply to L6 LINK outputs. Confirmed. Again, this is due to L6 LINK's flexible output routing—POD HD would need six channels of Global EQ for this to work. There may be a way to shoehorn the existing Global EQ between L6 LINK > Master L/R in the future (will have to ask), but it's obviously not going to happen in FW 2.6.
