  1. Yeah, my iphone and even my work computer couldn’t get access. Started to get the shakes and started to go through withdrawal. I was mess! Thanks god it’s back and I continue with my unhealthy obsession.
  2. Yeah, I have been scouring the internet trying to find something that fits my bill. I thought about upgrade my mixer with new StudioLive mk 3 or the Quantum interface by presonus but I got some other purchases first so I will probably keep my old mixer and find something that works for now. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for your reply. The mixer is the first generation and doesn’t have proper instrument inputs. The Radial DI box improve the level but it still lacks the high end that the helix has. Might need a channel strip that has hi-z input and maybe an active feature. It sounds good when I don’t play it through the helix first but if I made the preset and performed it through the helix and try it through Native it just doesn’t have the same feel.
  4. i was hoping to not use my helix hardware just because my jam area has an elaborate setup and I hate disconnecting it all to do some recording. Thought about buying another one but it is a bit pricey to buy a new one just for that.
  5. Does anyone have any suggestions for an input (converter, DI box, etc) that matches helix’s 123 decibels ADA converters or something that is close to it. I use a Studiolive 24.4.2 mixer as my interface and a Radial DI Pro but I was noticing the dynamics and feel are not close to the quality of running Helix into the XLR left and right of the mixer. Would an active DI box work better? Something like a tube preamp Laney Ironheart Irt Pulse or just suck it up and upgrade the interface?
  6. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k-0bVhQMj9Q Here is a video of his boutique amp sim with Marshall Jubilee.
  7. Glenn DeLaune has a great preset package with a 1969 Marshall Silver Jubilee that uses an IR that he made from his own amp. I have been loving it and using it on a couple of my songs and also I am using it with another Marshall amp to get as close as a John Frusciante tone as I can muster because that jubilee and the Marshall Major is what he uses live.
  8. You just got to put any additional effect or move an amp/cab or the IR topath 2. Each line (1 & 2) both have separate computer chips for prossesing amps, effects, etc so if you run out on one just jump to the other.
  9. I don’t think you can do that with Firehawk 1500 but I might be wrong. I mainly use mine to run helix through but what you could do is copy that preset and make a new one with those adjustments and save it, so, when you want to switch you will be using one button to switch between the presets. That is how I ran my Lowdown 175 for years and when my speaker cratered I used the Firehawk 1500 as my bass amp and made four presets to copy my bass amp: one clean, one distorted, one with a filter(funky setting) and one chorus and distorted as hell. All the same preset with different effects. Hope this helps.
  10. I updated mine through my wifi once when I first got it like a year ago. I don’t think that there was a new update probable just that old one. I heard some android issues but maybe the update corrected them. I use an iPad Pro on mine with no issues. Took a bit to update. I would try it again. Maybe the updater itself need updating that is often what I have to do before updating helix or native. Hope this helps.
  11. I might just being greedy or ill informed but would it be possible to get some of the effects that Firehawk has too? I am totally loved the update we just got, don’t get me wrong, but I noticed a couple effects that it has that helix doesn’t; like: bass overdrive, bronze master, hi-talk, POD purple x, warble-Matic, random s & h, tape eater, etc. I know some of them are not on there which I would love to see like Tech 21 bass sans amp but I am not sure if some are the same effects just with different names. I will have to double check. But what do you guys and gals think?

  13. Sweet now I don’t have to buy that used M5 or M9 that I was looking at to add those effects that were missing from Helix. Thanks Line 6! You guys rock!
  14. The return effects loop of the spider valve amp is supposed to bypass the preamp that is built into those amps. I don’t own one myself I run mine into a Firehawk 1500 and a DT50 amp but I was going to purchase a used Spider Valve but as the guy turned it on it fried out. Hope this helped.
  15. Just got a Synth 9 from Electro Harmonix would is a great addition to Helix. Plays and tracks extremely well. Just now figuring what to do with it. Could try one of those. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3qebnkmvjiw
  16. I run my helix with the XLR going into the monitors and a left 1/4†out into the Guitar in of the Firehawk, as for my JTV89 I plug that into helix variax input. If I want to use the firehawks presets or effects I just make a blank preset and adjust the Firehawk app to whatever I want to try or add to the helix.
  17. I run a Yamaha mini mixer that has a beatbuddy into the Firehawk return effects loop and my helix into my monitor in and 1/4’ Guitar in. You could do it a few ways utilizing the the firehawk stereo loop and your pod500x. Hope this helps.
  18. Helix allows you up to four separate paths unlike the single one for the Firehawk. The Helix is on a another level compare to the Firehawk. I dig the Firehawk, specially with the app approach, but my helix is one of my favourite pieces of music tech that I have.
  19. You can set it up a few ways. I got my helix going from the XLR out to the monitors and a 1/4†out from the helix to the Guitar in on the Firehawk. I am sure that you can do the four cable method but I have yet to try. I play my jtv89 with an acoustic preset on helix and it sounds great but I have also made a blank preset to and utilize the Firehawks sounds. I also have another preset with a loop going to a digitech rp360xp so I can listen to that unit through the Firehawk. It is an incredible flexible unit. I hope this helps.
  20. Should be able to cover a large amount of sound with that gear. I have the same gear except I use the Firehawk with my Helix and a G70 for the wireless set up for my other guitars.
  21. It was a bit pricy but the case is have duty and is well made but it does add to the weight.
  22. That could be. There have been a few updates recently, perhaps they corrected the issues people were having.
  23. I have been a studio one user for years and I have no problems running native in studio one 3
  24. The line 6 carrying case for the Firehawk has caster wheels built in.
  25. It is a blast and for some of my presets that are so effects heavy I was loosing my clean guitar signal that I wanted to cut through the mix with so I use the dt50 for that.
