  1. I have a Mission Engineering Gemini 1 and love it. Those guys really do a great job with their FRFR cabs. I plan to purchase another to create a stereo setup. I actually decided to go this route as opposed to using a single Gemini 2 cab since I can get a more dramatic stereo effect with two cabs instead of one. Either way though, you can't go wrong with these cabs. I do want to mention as well that fan noise isn't really an issue on the Gemini 1. I can't really hear anything.
  2. Press the menu button (next to the save button). Then press the "Footswitch Assign" button. Move over to the delay then rotate the "Footswitch" nob until it says "None". That's how I've been doing it anyway.
  3. I'm seeing this issue as well. Recording with the Helix on Mac OS X 10.11.3 is impossible via USB. Must route the output from the Helix through an external interface. I hope this gets fixed soon. It'd be really nice to streamline my guitar recording setup.
  4. Thanks for the replies everybody. After further investigation, It looks like I just needed to add a noise gate to the chain to get rid of the extra noise created by pumping up the gain (in global settings I set it about 40db). My patch's mic preamp had the gain at 5 and level at 10. I guess I'm just used to a better mic pre with a lower noise floor.
  5. Yes. Didn't seem to help with volume issue. I tried the guitar + vocal template as well, which has the pre-amp block. Same sort of issue.
  6. Has anyone else tried to use the mic input on the Helix for vocals? When using just headphones, are you able to hear anything without turning the mic gain way up (which causes distortion) as well as the headphones volume? I've tried with a few different mics of varying types and nothing really helps (SM57, Neumann TLM102 w/phantom power turned on). I tried the template for guitar and vocals and I notice the same issue there. Its just entirely too quiet. Forget about hearing any sort of vocal if you are playing a guitar/bass at the same time. Am I the only one encountering this volume issue with the mic input? Thanks!
  7. Is the Helix compatible with the Voodoo Labs Ground Control Pro? For example, can you assign a block/setting to a footswitch on the Ground Control Pro?
