  1. Hello, so I've had what I think is a good idea which is to buy a Helix stomp and a thing called Eventide MixingLink Mic Preamp With Effects Loop, which is basically a mic pre pedal with an FX loop. I'm looking to use the stomp for guitar amp and maybe an overdrive, then add a couple of FX to the vocal, maybe a reverb, a distortion. I appreciate there are only 6 blocks my main question is will this actually work and are there any limitations. Thanks in advance!
  2. Can someone has recorded Vocals with the firehawk fx
  3. Any experience or ideas for using amplifi for vocal purpose? Sometimes I need a vocal amp to rehearsal with my band. Any suggestion how to set it up for vocal?
  4. Has anyone else tried to use the mic input on the Helix for vocals? When using just headphones, are you able to hear anything without turning the mic gain way up (which causes distortion) as well as the headphones volume? I've tried with a few different mics of varying types and nothing really helps (SM57, Neumann TLM102 w/phantom power turned on). I tried the template for guitar and vocals and I notice the same issue there. Its just entirely too quiet. Forget about hearing any sort of vocal if you are playing a guitar/bass at the same time. Am I the only one encountering this volume issue with the mic input? Thanks!
  5. Hello Everyone, Hopefully this hasn't been answered many times, so I apologize if it has... I own the POD HD500X and recently bought a new guitar (ES-339). I started messing around with running a vocal mic and the guitar into the POD and splitting channels. The results are good, but there are some songs that the lack of DSP on the guitar side has me itching for a little better quality that I'd normally get if the other channel's effects weren't being used for vocals. So here's my question: After demo'ing a BOSS VE-20 Vocal Effects pedal, I was pretty impressed with the quality. I've decided to buy it and the only thing I have left to consider is how to set it up with my POD. I'm just a bedroom musician and I use my POD as the audio interface for direct recording into my DAW. SO... I'm wondering will the AUX or CD input on the POD be a good/very good way to mix in a vocal effects pedal or will I be much better off buying another audio interface and plugging the POD and the Vocal pedal into it? I'd like to save some money and skip buying another interface, but it is important to me that I be able to do vocals and guitar at the same time. Most nights practicing now are spent playing along with a song on YouTube and singing and playing along with it. I have a blast doing that and I'm just hoping to get the best quality possible. If anyone could help answer this question I'd be extremely grateful. The difference here being an extra $150-400 out of my pocket for an audio interface I may not need. So here's a pre-thanks for taking the time to read and answer. :)
  6. I see some people use a transformer voice with podfarm or other unique tones. Does anyone have any recommend pod farm mic Pre set's?
  7. Pod X3; the section with the guitar/vocal blends. I find that the vocals on many of them are much quieter than the guitars. Is there a way to adjust this beyond the trim adjustment and tone volume knob. Obviously I bring my guitar vol down but it starts to eat the tone. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers
  8. I'm trying to record vocals but it doesn't seem to be working. I plugged my microphone into the pod mic input then turned on the phantom power to power my condenser microphone and then went on a new tone with nothing on it. my pod unbalanced outputs are plugged into my speakers (like normal) and the pod is connected to my daw by usb but when i arm the track it picks up no audio at all but the little green signal light on the pod is flashing when i talk into the mic haha someone please help me! thanks
  9. I am seriously ready to pull the trigger on a high end combo for my acoustic guitars and vocals in a duo setup. I am comparing the Shertler Jam 150, a very high end acoustic guitar combo amp to the L2T. I would love any feedback from anyone who has owned the Shertler and gone to the L2T or vice versa. I do want excellent sound, very studio quality as I gig professionally and need the best for my audiences. I have tried all other guitar combo amps and though there are some good ones, there are no great ones except for the Shertler line. Thanks very much
