  1. Did you install the helix app as well as the driver. You need the app to backup presets. And you can edit and create presets with it as well.
  2. I submitted the idea for an iOS version of the editor. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/iPad-editor/818691-23508
  3. Hi. Can you explain what "2CM "Power amp in" " means. Thanks
  4. Hi. I send backing sound from my iPad to my helix to play along with. I have an app called tab toolkit that plays tab pro tabs for me and I mute the guitar tab and play along as the guitarist. If I connect my iPad to the helix using the camera connection kit to the usb port on the helix and listen through my headphones the audio only comes through one ear only. Not stereo. Now if I use other audio apps, or play a song on iTunes it comes through as stereo. if I plug headphones to my iPad directly and listen to the tab toolkit app its stereo. Anyone else use that app can check this behavior to see if it's the app.
  5. Hi, it seems that every time I use the tuner it's output is default set to mute. Is there a way to save my preference to have the output set to multi? Thanks.
  6. +1 please add to helix help. This is very good. Thanks.

    Setlists

You could change setlists with your feet but you would have to have talented toes to work the joystick :)
  8. Hi, Thanks for all the responses. I received my Camera connection kit yesterday. I got the new one that is usb 3 compatible (not that it matters) and it works fine. As stated above you cannot change the volume but the volume is actually quite loud which for the most part works for me. I also had gotten a 1/8" to 1/4" cable to connect the ipad using the headphone jack and connecting that to one of the returns on the helix. With this method I have to add a return block to each patch but I can control the volume either through the ipad volume control or using the settings for the return block. So more flexibility with this method but more work. The usb method is easier but less flexible. The other thing I want to mention is that with the camera connection kit the sound automatically passes through to the helix and out to my amp without having to do anything. It just does that automatically.
  9. I'm not with my helix at the moment but is there a way to make it so you can adjust the "mix" between the looper sounds and the sounds you play over the looper. Maybe using 2 paths.
  10. Look at videos on you tube that show making patches. That will give you an idea of what's involved with "programming" a patch. I thing all the settings can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning (as there are so many tweakable things) but you can start simple and just use the included presets and make minor adjustments to those before venturing out and making your own from scratch.
  11. I was looking at this thread again. I have connected my iPad to the helix using a 1/8" to 1/4" cable and run it to return 1 on the helix. I then create a return 1 block in the patch and fiddle with the settings and it works well. But what did you mean by "no need to create blocks for this, just select returns 1/2 or 3/4 as stereo input"? Is there a setting that for every patch I wouldn't have to create a return block? That would be great. Is there a stereo input global setting? Thanks.
  12. Is there anyway you can try one out before you buy it? Or can you purchase it from a retailer who will allow you to return it if you're not satisfied with your purchase within a certain period of time?
  13. Also. Is there any problem with plugging my passive pickup guitars into the auxiliary input?
  14. What is a pad and how do you engage it? Also. Is there any problem with plugging my passive pickup guitars into the aux?
  15. I would delete it and re-download it again and see if you can open it. When you try to open it now is there an error message or just nothing happens?
  16. Where are you seeing the helix logo? Is this on a mac? or PC?
  17. Consider: 1. Clear all cookies on your browser and turn off any ad blocking for the line 6 web site. And/or try a different browser. This is for the web site issue. Make sure you can log out and log in again without any problems. If still an issue open a ticket. 2. For mac users.. Repair your permissions. Google how do to this if you don't know. Repairing permissions can sometimes help when there are weird issues.
  18. I have a question about this. I'm planning on getting the line 6 relay G10 wireless guitar interface. I noticed that it has 2 outputs. One is standard 1/4" the other looks like xlr. Could I connect the xlr output from the relay G10 directly to the helix mic input? Would I need to change any settings with doing this? Thanks.
  19. Ok. I downloaded the helix 1.11.1.dmg file to my Mac. I installed the software. Now I have a helix app and a line 6 updater app in a line 6 folder. Are there any other apps or software to download? (I think from what you posted its a little different on a Mac)
  20. Hi. My helix is coming next week and I want to install the software now on my computer (Mac). I'm a little confused. I see that there is a helix application. Now at version 1.11 There is also the helix editor to edit patches on my computer. And there is also a line 6 updates. Are all these in the single download? It may be nice to have a sticky to clarify this as well as another sticky where the title says the current versions of the softwares and firmware. Thanks.
  21. Is there a view on the editor that shows the amp, cab and pedals being used?
  22. Thanks you. Mouth is watering.....
