On a Mac there is no need to download the firmware. The updater does this step automatically. It's probably the same on windows but I don't use windows at home where my helix is.

Welcome to the forum and to the helix. Check out the Chad Boston Helix Facebook group. Lots of good info there and very friendly/helpful group.

Ben, All your artist tones are great. How about a Dimebag tone next?

Bought a G10!!! Returned it after 3 hours of playing with it.

You need to give it some more time to break in :) -
To update on the Mac I just used the line 6 updater that was included in the download for my helix. The updater downloaded the firmware.

Hi, I haven't updated by G10 before. I have a helix that I have updated on my mac using the updater that downloads with the helix software. How do I update the G10 on my mac? Does the same updater that I have for my Helix update the G10 also? Thanks.

I'd like to do this with tab pro on my iPad. I want to program a helix button to scroll down. In tab pro under midi command is the scroll down section. When I choose this it says waiting for command. This is where I don't know what to do next on the helix. Do I just go to command center and assign a bottom to any midi command. Or would there be a specific midi command I would have to select? I'm using the camera connection kit to hook up my helix to the iPad.

Lately I've noticed that my Relay G10 will not go to sleep like it's supposed to when it's plugged into an instrument that isn't being played. I haven't had much time to troubleshoot but after charging it one time and then putting into instrument it did go to sleep, but not again after that. Any suggestions.

It's not locked to one computer. Try different usb ports, a different cable, or a different computer.

That would be great. Or at least have quick access to this setting.

Any resolution? Just curious.

What happens if you boot it up now holding down 9 and 10 footswitches? Or fi that doesn't help 5 and 6. Or with 5 and 6? 5 & 6 Global reset 7 & 8 Reset setlists to factory, Keep IRs 8 & 9 Reset setlists to factory, Clear IRs 9 & 10 Reset setlists to factory, Global reset, Clear IRs 10 & 11 Upgrades existing presets to latest format 11 & 12 Clear current preset 5 & 12 Clear setlists, clear IRs, Return system settings to default 6 & 12 Safe boot mode

It sounds like all the presets are rebuilding every reboot if it takes several minutes. That is not normal behavior. I've had it where after the first full rebuild there are a couple presets that rebuild each time until I re-save the preset again.

Bypass one block at a time and see if you can isolate which block may be the culprit.

Hello, I noticed very recently that with 2 patches I had purchased and installed if I play usb audio through the helix either from my mac or my ipad( with the camera connection kit) there is static. I don't remember this with pre 2.0 firmware update but i'm not certain of this. With any other patch; factory or purchased; this does not happen. The static is not to my guitar tone but to the audio from my ipad or mac. Both of these patches have a very similar aspect which seems to cause this. This seems very strange as I thought that USB audio passes through the helix untouched by the patches themselves. See the picture. If I add any block to the right volume block in path 1a or left of the volume block in path 2b the static goes away. It also goes away if I change either of those volume blocks to a different type of block (except send/return). Also if I change the distortion to a different distortion it goes away. Any thoughts. Thoughts.

It may be woth re-saving any patches that are not stock patches. And do it on the Helix itself. I've had patches that rebuild with every restart and after re-saving them this behavior goes away.... leading me to believe that there was something wrong with the patch.

Did you do the 9/10 reset after installing the latest firmware?

Try installing the helix editor again

Just push-turn the knob of the parameter you want to adjust. It will get brackets around it and then just turn the knob to change the parameter value in each snapshot.

Call Line 6 support and see if they have other options.
