  1. Doesn't sound good on my Helix at all. It's totally garbled.
  2. Yeah it kinda sux too because I had working quite well actually. Had to pull out the Morpheus DrupTune. :-( May have to pick up a Digitech Drop!
  3. Yes. Pitch Effect to down tune to Eb is now unusable.
  4. This is a good method but I think you may be Blanketing the sound. I've been taking "sound imprints" for my upcoming Artists Patches Volume II and I notice all of my sound imprints are boosting the high end range. Our ears tell us there is too much "fizz" but when you isolate a guitar track from a famous recording the high end is so much greater than what our ears perceive to be what we think is normal in a mix of a full band. I think you have to create your patches within a real world mix of a full band. You'll find you need to boost the high end mid range to get through the mix. Don't cut that High end too much!!
  5. Ah Ha!! That's the problem. You're Helix Editor is 1.12. Go to the Line 6 software site and download the latest Helix Editor 2.0. Make damn sure before you install that bugger you use your CURRENT EDITOR and save all the patches you can't live without. Then perform the reset procedure again. Turn off Helix. Then While holding footswitches 9 and 10 (middle two switches on the bottom row), turn on Helix. DO NOT LET THE BUTTONS GO UNTIL YOU SEE THE MESSAGE “Will reset Globals and restore stock Presets, Setlists and IRs…†to appear and then you can let go of the switches.
  6. Do me a favor, unplug your Helix from your computer. Then open up the Helix Editor (without your Helix connected) and at the very top left of the editor screen you see a Help tab. Click on that and then click on "About Helix". A screen will pop up. Can you send me a screen shot of that??
  7. Make sure you have the latest updater as well. I didn't mention that. It's 1.09 and it's listed further down the page. I think that should be listed first because that installs everything you need. Download that and run that updater and follow along with my video. https://youtu.be/tG_3_x15PGo
  8. Hi Joe, Sounds like you need to install the new Helix Editor 2.0 and to the Total reset. That is the instructions Line 6 has laid out on the downloads page. Before you download and install the new editor 2.0 Make sure you save any patches you can't live without using your current Helix editor because this operation will basically wipe out the Helix and you will be starting fresh. After you have backed up your patches with your current editor, install the new Helix Editor 2.0 Then perform this operation EXACTLY!!!!!!: 7. YOU MUST RESET GLOBALS AND RESTORE PRESETS, OTHERWISE HELIX 2.0 WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. You'll then re-load your saved patches back into the fresh Helix.

I'm not using the Global EQ guys. It's there if you need but i haven't used it since November of last year. Again, guys Thank you so so much for your continued support. Big things coming. Stay tuned. ;-)
  10. Yeah the New V2.0 upgrade and the Snapshots feature really does open up a whole new world of possibilities doesn't it? All I've been doing for the last 4 days is . . . .Playing my guitar!!!!! That's a wonderful thing. When you have a device that sounds so good it makes you . . . Want to practice . . . :D
  11. No, not muddy at all. But you always have the Global EQ Lo Cut if you need it. Mine sounds nice & Chunky especially on the low end.
  12. Thank you BigRalph, I really appreciate you and everyone's support here in the Line 6 community. and Peter, thanks for the bump. ;-)
  13. I would recommend these. I have two of them but at 1000 watts ea. I've only been using the 1 lately. Got them from the same place here too. Miami, FL. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Alesis-Alpha-115-Active-2-Way-15-1000-Watt-Loudspeaker-with-Built-in-Alesis-DSP-/231507046054 I use my Helix Direct to FOH stereo via XLR Out and I use a 1/4in left mono out to one of these for stage sound. Honestly, if your having trouble with your Direct to FOH patches you should look into other ones or try different Global EQ settings. I've found that the Helix has an incredible Direct to House sound. I've been running that way since November of last year and have nothing but good comments on the "front" sound.

I'm humbled by your kind words guys. Thank you so much for your support.
  15. Yeah this time you'll have to do the full reset. No way around it. V2.0 has so many things deep inside the code that was changed so that's the reason for the full reset. The reset adds many more Global Menu settings and options as well as the new amps & effects.
  16. Nope. The latest one is "Helix 2.0" you'll find that on the Line 6 website just below the "Flash Memory" download section. Keep scrolling down the page and you'll see it.
  17. Did you download and install the latest Helix Editor?? The latest one is "Helix 2.0" you'll find that on the Line 6 website just below the "Flash Memory" download section. Keep scrolling down the page and you'll see it.
  18. Mine did the same thing but it updated just fine. The main thing to remember is to back-up your patches BEFORE you start the update process.
  19. I often use the Effects in the helix to emulate popular effects. So far I've created a POG effect, an Octave Fuzz effect and also a JHS boost pedal. It would be nice if once I've created any of these i can save it as a "Special Effect". These Special Effects can be recalled and placed in other patches. Please vote this up. Idea No. 345. Thanks.
  20. Don't check Beta box. Under "Products tab" select Helix, under Operating system tab select Windows 10. the editor should be just below the firmware. Do you see it??
  21. Yeah looks like you still have to check the "Beta" box to find it. Line 6 did send out an email to everyone today stating that the Editor was ready for download. Guess it takes them a little while to update the downloads area.
  22. Pretty sure the answer to your question is Yes. I got a Godin recently that has that Piezo pick-up and I found that the Taylor IR's sound fabulous with it. I actually use a blend of two IR's when using that guitar. Here is a link to a discussion here that has lots of IR's you can try out. http://line6.com/support/topic/17076-links-for-free-impulse-responses-ir-here/?hl=free+impulse+response
  23. Probably the 4 cable method would be great for this setup. It wouldn't be much different than what you already have except instead of the stomps you could use the FX in the Helix and the Helix might even switch the channels on that head as well.
