Here is hoping that in near future firmware updates the pitch shifter can be addressed. Currently, the pitch shifter has a noticeable warbling that occurs with chords and when multiple strings are played. Still useable however annoying. Maybe hardware will not accommodate such a desired effect. If that is so, it would be helpful for the Support folks to explain it to us users. With pure pitch shifting the possibilities for usefulness are endless. It becomes an electronic capo which would wonderful for quick changing between songs. I am pretty sure that I am not alone in wishing for this. Cheers

Somewhat unrelated, but if you have a Mac and use Logic X, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, update to High Sierra. Your copy of Logic X will no longer work. They want $199 to update Logic!!

Any hints on when we might expect the next Helix firmware update?

How about a global export function for IRs?

Someone from Line 6 please answer this question. Does the Helix have the hardware/software capability to create an effect similar to the Digitech FreqOut feedback device? I now there are several of us who would LOVE to have that feature available. Still hoping that you will release an amp model of the Friedman BE-100.

Has anyone heard any rumors of what will be in the next firmware update?
-
A great addition for the wish list would be for the Helix to be able to have something similar to DigiTech FreqOut Natural Feedback Creator. VERY cool

Are the L3T bags worth it??

Got mine from Tuki covers. $90 and it is REALLY padded and nice -
Great find by Power User in this thread!

The Friedman BE-100 would be awesome. I already bought the Friedman cab IR from 3 Sigma. To have the amp model would be heaven.

Hey Line 6, how about a Friedman BE-100 amp model in the next firmware release?

So someone please clear this up for me. If I am going to use the firmware updater to load 2.0 firmware, I MUST have the 2.0 Helix Editor installed? Are you telling me that the Updater does NOT work without the Helix Editor? Someone form LINE 6, please answer that question. Incidentally, someone (maybe me) should contact Glenn Deluane and let him know that his patches cause the 2.0 firmware to blow up if that is the case.

I am using a Mac running El Capitan with current updates. I am using the latest version of Line 6 Updater and Helix Editor 1.12. I downloaded Firmware 2.0 and installed to the Helix. It caused the Helix to lockup to preset and completely disabled all functionality. I power cycled the Helix to see if resetting would help. Nope. I backed the Firmware down to 1.12 and it worked fine. I called support and spoke to the technician. He had me do the firmware update again. It appeared to work and then locked up as soon as I got off the phone. I backed the firmware to 1.12 again. My Helix is one of the first that came from Line 6 in late 2015 so I am wondering if there are any subtle hardware changes that were made that would block the proper working installation of firmware upgrades. If so, I am pretty upset because that would mean that I am stuck. The unit is still under warranty but this really concerns me. Anyone else having this same type of problem? The technician stated that presets that I had that might have been caused by older presets that were built on the older firmware. That also concerns me because that would mean that anytime there is an update, I would have to dump the presets and start over. That would mean a LOT of wasted preset development time. Line 6 please advise.

OK - I think figured out what I was doing wrong. When deciding to use the Helix as the "sound card", all I had to do is connect the speakers to the output of the Helix. At least that is what I need to do to get sound. However, I am not sure I was doing anything going through the Mac or was merely using the output of the Helix and bypassing the Mac. Probably not the solution I was looking for.
-
OR I would like to just be able to connect the Helix via USB to my Mac and get sound. How?
-
Please forgive me for being completely obtuse, but I cannot figure out how to connect the Helix via USB to my Mac using Logix X and get sound out. I can see that I am getting a solid input signal, however NO sound out. I have tried resetting the Audio interface settings in System Preferences. I have used Internal Speakers, Helix, and Audiobox. Nothing seems to work. No sound out. I see folks using the Helix on YouTube where they playing through the computer. I am at a loss. Sorry for being so dumb. Can anyone provide a step by step walk through on how to make this work? I will be in your debt eternally. I have attached a .doc diagram showing what I am trying to achieve. Hoping that makes it clear for me and other confused souls. Helix to Computer.doc

Line 6 - is there an ETA on Helix Editor release (beta or otherwise)?
-
Has anyone created a "slicer" patch? I will be working on creating one but hate to re-invent the wheel if someone has already done it.

Hey Line 6 a couple really neat sounds that would be great if you could add are the Dumble 100 and also the Way Huge Overrated Special pedal.

Albeit the Helix is fairly easy to learn and navigate, I hope Line 6 provides the support for owners by putting together some tutorial videos on covering some of areas that are weakly covered in the User manual. There are a lot of nuanced items that are not that intuitive to figure out without some guidance. Luckily, Glenn DeLaune has some good videos on YouTube that are helpful and he answered a couple puzzling questions that i had. Kudos to Glenn. I think the Helix is an amazing piece of gear just like my Mac is an amazing computer (sorry Windows lovers), but some guidance would be helpful to show the customer base what the thing can really do. I have been using multi-effects pedals for several years all the way back to the Roland GP-8. With everyone of them, I found that the manufacturers were always weak on documentation and instruction. There was a lot more for the HD500 than most. Don't get me wrong, I love the Helix. When it was announced, I thought i will NEVER pay that much for a MFX pedal. HOWEVER, after hearing it at Sweetwater Gearfest, I was sold and knew it have to be mine. I use it in a worship setting and have abandoned use of any on stage amplifiers. Strictly into the board and folded back. It sounds amazing. I have read what some the detractors (lovers of the Kemper and AxeFx) have said, but I think Line 6 really hit a home run with the Helix in bang for the buck. That is just my own no so humble opinion. I will love the Helix even more if Line 6 takes the next step to provide some instructional videos. Maybe somewhat like QSC did for the TouchMix digital mixers.

How odd. I have El Capitan on my Mac and have had no trouble with connecting the Helix to it. It communicates and loads as designed. I wish Line 6 would hurry up and release a Helix editor like the one that was for the HD500

I have ditched my DT25 Marshall cabinet in favor of Helix into the board and folding back into Line 6 L3t. I have never been happier with my sound, tones, and ability to hear without destroying the entire audience. Thank you Line 6 for your amazing innovations. I have been a Line 6 user all the way back to owning one of the first Axsys 212 with floorboard. I had serious problems but Line 6 support stood by me and even gave me a new amp. Kudos to Line 6!!

Any ETA on a Full scale Helix editor like the ones for HD500?

Why is there no Helix in the Drop-down menu for configuration in Line 6 Monkey?
