  1. I was a Redwitch Moon Phaser user. Much more natural, though the Phase 90 is ok. I was just hoping for a couple options though admittedly I am in the minority with use of Phasers these days. I realize I could always loop on in but for me I want to eliminate a lot or all of my single stomps.
  2. I thought effects were lacking a bit also. I do expect a few more. Especially a phaser or two.. What I wondered was if IR technology would allow the sale of effects packs or if that technology was limited to cab/amps.
  3. Agreed,iN had to chuckle at a guy on another forum, He was flipping out over the price. His whole basis was the price compared to the HD400. He refused to pay that much despite everyone telling him it was totally different technology, In his signature was his gear which in addition to the HD400 were two boutique amps, a Timeline and 4 other Strymon pedals.
  4. Sorry. This is not the place to debate store or sites. I will just add that I will *Never* buy from Musicians Friend again after all the issues I have had with them and if they honor their warranty. I will stick with larger family run sites like Sweetwater, Nstuff, or even Andertons if in Britian. GC is ok since you see what you are getting but the knowledge level varies widely from store to store.
  5. The Andertons videos were great by the real test will be when I get mine in hand. I hope I get mine in the first shipment to Sweetwater. People do need to keep in mind Andertons are trying to sell products so they will not out out a real bad video, but you need a good product to get the sounds they did. I still want more clean demos with just some reverb and delay.
  6. Guitar cases are tops, I meant other cases
  7. I buy my guitar cases from Rondo. If you get it let me know how the build is. Some of their cases I have seen are sufficient in the corners but are made of plastic.
  8. And as for the price, I was looking at a Kemper too. So this price is fine and it looks like it will compete well with the big boys like Kemper and Axefx
  9. I am not a fan of our HD400. The Dr Z sounds decent with some tweaks but I just didn't find it as simple as some say. Basics were fine. Plus I was constantly accidentally turning on the looper. I know, clumsy feet. But after seeing and hearing videos for the Helix it's a no brainer switch for me.
  10. I would like to see a Tone King Imperial added. And maybe a 1950s Gibson amp.
  11. I also hope more people go with Sweetwater than Musicians Friend.
  12. Ya. They probably found out how many units they would get in the first shipment and you didn't make it. I am afraid that will be the case with me at Sweetwater because I just ordered recently. I am already going nuts with anticipation. I am also waiting to see someone make a road case for it. I don't think a bag will be practical at 14 pounds. I can't wait.
  13. Korg SDD 3000 delay would be awesome too. Time to hit the idea section.
  14. The Andertons video was very good. I wonder if they ever finished the video with an smp. I searched YouTube but didn't see it. I thought the cleanish stuff they did was good. They still needed more. Especially for those of us that play mostly Houses of worship and use pristine cleans with lots of delay and reverb. I would hope the delays were good enough I could pack up the Timeline or simikar, or at least use it less.
  15. Damned auto correct kept changing Kemper to Kenmore. I thought I fixed them all. I was actually referring to Line 6 hx vs line 5 he demos. Not putting it up against a Kemper or Axefx. There will be enough of those once it's released. Though I suppose your point is the same if they are still selling both products.
  16. I hope I am not the only one following this that has no clue what half of you are talking about. Maybe it is my age. I had the X3 Live when church did away with amps. I was pretty happy overall but it was far from amp like in my opinion and clean tones were its weak points. We got the HD 400 when we added a second electric to the fold. I hate it. I am always turning the looker on when I don't want to (read old guy set in his ways) and while amp selection and tweaking is easy I found the rest much more difficult than the X3. So when I saw the big screen of the Helix, and how great the clean clips sounded, I was drawn in. When I saw the Sweet water demo and how easy it was to select and move things I was instantly drawn in and ordered it.. What I want to see is more straight up HE vs HX demos. Especially with clean tones. For this to truly compete with the Kemper it is going to need to compete with the Fender clean tones as well as Marshall. Can any of the testers on here speak about clean tones more and if it can do the chime or sparkle of various clean tones and then with a pedal or e ex rolling the volume up emulate the increased gain of a tube amp? This has been the weakness of all my previous line 6 devices. I didplay with a friend's Kemper and it did it well. But if this can do it I will be thrilled with the $1000 saved over a Kenmore and controller.
