Could we please review the sound and quality of the device? There has been nothing but whining about the lack of this or the lack of that and the price compared to an HD since day one. This has been beat to death as is getting very old. I understand your issues and respect your thoughts but let's move on and talk about what is there. There is a section and forum for the requests and wants.

The pedal is large enough without a tablet sized display. I am fine with it as it but I admit I have caught myself touching the screen a couple times when I should have hit a knob.

I am following this and chuckling because a couple months ago a member on here politely called me an idiot when I said I would NEVER order anything from Musicians Friend go past experience of messed up orders, used and open box items sold as new, and more. I said Sweetwater was the only way to go. He swore MF was the best. To each their own.

You are probably like me. I listen so close when I he a new toy that I start hearing things that ar not there. I discovered through my Helix noodling that one of my krokkit 5 monitors has a vibration/buzz issue. I thought I was vibrating something in the room at first . Luckily it is a Sweetwater purchase and we are already working on a return/replacement .

My salesman did the research and found this one for me. He thought it was the closet fit they had that was good quality. I may have snagged the last one though. They went out of stock after my order.

I actually do not know that I would like that. I understand why some would and it makes sense. For me it would just be something else to get turned on by mistake and confuse me when I couldn't get a model to reset to its default value. What might work though would be a lock feature. Lock the specific preset down until the unlock button is pressed .

I should add that it would be my luck to get two defective units. .

What are the chances you would get two defective? Did you try another USB cable? What are you trying to,do via usb? I just tried a 20 second recording in GarageBand via USB with my iPad and it worked great.

I can't reproduce the tuner issue. I set it to multi and it no longer mutes. The volume is a bit low though.

I can not say one is better than the other. Both have their upsides. Plus I do not personally have day in, day out hands on experience with a Kemper. But what I have heard on my friends Kemper I would say the Helix is a peer.

I ordered the Mono bag/case I posted above. I should have ordered sooner as I want t use the Helix at church Sunday morning.I don't think my old boat anchor road case is wide enough and it would need modified even if it was. The Rondo stuff is nice with a little extra foam but I really like the padding and ease of carrying the Mono. At 14 pounds the Helix could make handles on a standard road case awkward and uncomfortable. I did my roadie time in the 80s and have nightmares of road cases!

I looked at the $100 model it is a little more reinforced. Looks nice. I would get a coule strips of foam for spacers but I like it.

Any word on the revision?

I played mine off and on all day. I played through KRK Rokit 5's. I am stunned. I had high expectations and so far this meets or exceeds them. I just played with presets and tweaked them as well as tried different effects . It sounds fantastic. My son had to try it out. He has been wanting a Kemper ever since hearing one in my friends studio. Now he doesn't know which he wants. I didn't know if I would be able to get back on the Helix. He said he could have played with it all night. I agree. There will be those that prefer Kemper or Axfx, but Line 6 has a serious contender here. Since my fingers hurt I am going to actually read some of the manual tonight. Thanks to Line 6 and also Andy from Sweetwater for hooking me up.

Ya. I plugged my Mission Enginerring pedal and it auto made it pedal one/ volume. Rocked it up and down and it seemed to calibrate itself. I haven't dove in enough to set the other as a wah yet. On a break now as my back was killing me.

Well still not out for delivery. Crazy. Fedex is not my friend. I called and talked to a Fedex rep this morning. He said it was due yesterday. I wanted to say NO lollipop, but I stayed polite. He promised delivery today. 10 minutes later Fedex calls and said it didn't arrive until 5am and was at the terminal. I told the guy I had just made arrangements and it was to be delivered today. He wasn't happy but said to hold. He came back and said it would be here today. We will see.

Here is my problem guys. I turn 53 tomorrow but I am still like a little kid at Christmas when I know new gear has shipped. Even though I knew from past experience my Helix would not arrive on the date Fedex said, I couldn't sleep last night hoping just once they would deliver here on time. Now another sleepless night awaits. Will I get my birthday gift tomorrow? Since Fedex doesn't even know where it is right now I wonder. Past experience says yes. Normally they ate one day late. I just hope it's not budget rental guy delivering tomorrow.

Wow. Your Fedex is good there . I called again pretty resigned to to fact it wasn't getting here today (normal local Fedex) but concerned that it left Fedex at 3am from a city 3 hours away and had not checked in 14 hours later. Fedex said it still shows in transit. Really? I can see that. They have no idea where it's at. No idea why it hasn't at least gotten to the local Pittsburgh terminal. All the said was it should be here tomorrow and the can't help me.

Ha ha ha ha. I called Fedex. They said it is probably slowed by the flooding in South Carolina. I said WTF. It was coming to Western Pa from Indiana. Why would Southern Flooding affect it. The guy was quiet and said nothing. I suppose if they sent trucks down to aid in transporting relief items

Mine says next day and should have been here today but it left an Ohio warehouse at 3am this morning and never showed a check in again. It should have at least hit the local terminal this morning. Fedex does it again. It is absolutely terrible in this area and I cringe when things shop here via Fedex. The guy with the budget Van will probably deliver it and throw it over the porch rail from the driveway like he did a box last week. Or it could be the U haul that delivered my ammo yesterday. Factory reset maybe? Mine is in Fedex Limbo. Last fed ex info was at 3am a couple hours away. They said delivery today but it never even checked in at any of the local Fedex terminals.
