You need to assign each parameter separately. There is no group as assignment feature.

Put a Send block in your preset before the cab/IR block and cable the Send output to the Return input on your amp. Consult your amp documentation to determine what level that input expects (instrument, line) and set the Level of your Helix Send output accordingly. Note that any FX blocks after the cab/IR block in your preset will not be routed to your amp.

I don’t think you mentioned these factors: …. Do your headphones work as you would expect with other devices? Have you tried other headphones with your HX stomp? If so, how do they behave?

no sound coming out of pof hd500x when xlr output into analog mackie board
silverhead replied to aifrecords's topic in POD HD
No, you do not need phantom power; you’re correct to leave it off. The studio/direct output setting is correct. I can’t see anything wrong with your HD500X settings; seems to me that you should be getting sound from the XLR outputs. Try headphones just to test. Does the sound appear there? If your preset uses parallel paths check the Mixer block to make sure the Volume levels are not zero. Is this a new issue? Have you successfully used the XLR outputs before? -
There are a couple of matches in Customtone. They might be worth a look as a starting point.

I don’t own a POD Express so can’t explore the factory presets, but they are what they are whether or not they conform to your expectations. Again, they are place holders for you to overwrite them with your own custom presets.

very weird but glad you got it sorted.

As long as you have kept your HX Stomp for some time after purchasing Helix Native (maybe six months?) you can unregister it from your account and your Helix Native license remains valid. The buyer of your Stomp will not be able to use the discount. I suggest you contact Line 6 support, or the for answers to your LT questions. You might also find some answers here:

POD Go hardware/software monitoring latency (and blend)
silverhead replied to sominator's topic in POD Go
Your DAW’s metronome will be heard at the POD Go outputs along with your playing, with zero latency. -
Pod xT Live volume pedal issue
silverhead replied to rx7carl's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Perhaps calibrating your pedal will help: Q: How do I calibrate the pedal on my PODxt Live? A: 1. Make sure there is nothing connected to your PODxt live aside from the power cable. 2. Power up the PODxt Live while holding down the Bank Up pedal 3. Press the Amp pedal (this will reset the current settings) 4. Move the pedal all the way to the heel back position, then all the way forward until the toe switch clicks. You will want to stand up and shift all of your weight to the toe position until you see the WAH light turn on. 5. Wait 10 seconds, then power the PODxt Live off and back on again. 6. Your pedal is now calibrated. -
Workbench HD software
silverhead replied to jerseyboy's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Ahh, yes. Selecting ‘ Variax’ as the hardware would prevent the display of Workbench HD because it is not compatible with the older Variax models. My guess is that if you select ‘James Tyler Variax’ as the hardware you would see Workbench HD because they are compatible. Which leads me to wonder…. What model of. Variax guitar do you have? If pre-JTV you want to use the original Workbench software, not Workbench HD. -
Do you have a recent backup of your Setlist 3? If so try importing the entire setlist rather than individual presets. If not select only Setlist 3 (Anthem) for restoration in the Restore From Backup procedure. Select your most recent system backup file created at the time of your last firmware update, or a later one if you performed a manual system backup.

Workbench HD software

That’s odd. I can see Workbench HD in the Downloads section. It’s the last item in the menu for the Choose Software field. -
POD Go hardware/software monitoring latency (and blend)
silverhead replied to sominator's topic in POD Go
Are you using the POD Go ASIO driver? If not, try that. Otherwise…. Why do you want/need to use software monitoring? I think most people turn it off and connect their speakers/phones direct to the POD Go outputs for zero-latency monitoring. -
The HX Stomp does sound great with those headphones. I have exactly those phones and my Helix Rack is great with them. So something else is going on here. Was the HX Stomp brand new, and were you playing with the factory presets? If not, and if you were playing someone else’s custom presets, it’s entirely possible that it sounded bad using headphones of any type. The preset may have been designed to be monitored through an external guitar cab and may contain no Cab or IR block. In fact, the store may have things set up that way with the Stomp normally connected to a physical guitar amp for test purposes. That will, indeed, sound ‘thin and fuzzy in a bad way’. You might try returning to the store and make sure you are using the factory presets.

The filetype *.l6t is used for many Line 6 products, not just the POD X3. Some POD X3 l6t files are incompatible with other devices and vice versa. In other words there’s no guarantee that any specific l6t preset file will load properly into a POD X3. It’s likely that you are encountering this incompatibility rather than a license/payment issue.

IRs are unwieldy. The only way to audition (hear) and compare them is to load them into the IR slots in the Helix device. Once loaded you can compare them by switching the assignment of the IR block in a preset to a different IR slot. You can load multiple IRs at the same time into the Helix IR slots by drag/dropping the IR files from your computer folder. However, you are limited to 128 different IRs at any time. As you point out, an IR library like Redwirez typically contains many more than 128. There’s no ‘best’ way to organize and audition them; whatever works best for you is right for you. Just so you know, the relatively new cab engine in Helix is actually millions of individual IRs. Each time you change a mic/cab parameter Helix is actually unloading one IR file and loading another in the background. If you haven’t yet spent time exploring the new engine give it a try. I no longer use external IRs; I find the quality and variety available in the new cab engine to be quite sufficient.

Stomp "factory reset" only restores newest 3.7 presets, not original ones.
silverhead replied to optofonik's topic in Helix
Unless you have other backups you will need to have some kind soul post those setlists here for you. Another method would be to reinstall the older firmware and then do a factory reset with that. …. and it’s never a bad idea to make backups of the factory setlists immediately after a firmware update and reset …. -
Yes, by all means experiment with different mic/cab combinations. Another tweak that can be helpful is to increase the setting of the Bias parameter in the amp (not preamp) block.

I use the DT 990 Pro headphones, 250 Ohms. Volume is fine. I also rarely go above the 12 o’clock setting; it gets way too loud.
-
Did you buy the Amplifi amp used or brand new? If used, did you get a chance to test it out beforehand? In other words, had it been working fine for you and this low volume behaviour is new to you, or did you perhaps buy an amp that is faulty? If the latter it’s likely a hardware fault that will need repair. You can try to resurrect it by reinstalling the firmware.

I've found it works best when you're really drunk. It is hilarious stuff! Just like the old drunk-dialing days. Now THAT was fun!

Unless I misunderstand… Try connecting the amp’s Send to the POD Go guitar input at instrument level. Connect the POD Go Main output, again at instrument level, to the amp’s Return. This way your POD Go is positioned in the amp’s FX Loop, which is what you say you want In your POD Go preset disable the amp and cab and use only the desired FX blocks. You don’t need or want the POD Go FX Loop at all; disable it as well.

Not able to route my pc audio to my headphones (worked in the past)
silverhead replied to cfarris87's topic in Helix
Your driver is out of date. To ensure that all software components are current and compatible I suggest you download and install the complete HX Edit installation package. -
Will all future original Line 6 amp models come to Pod Go?
silverhead replied to ajonathan3693's topic in POD Go
There is no guarantee of that.
