You buy them, download, unzip into a folder, and then drag them in from the editor. Love my G-Del presets!

Nice!

Yeah... tube boy actually wanted me to loan it... I told him he was lucky I let him record with it. LoL! Still can't believe he used it over his amp and pedal board rig...

I had my Helix in my drummer's Pro Recording Studio the other week. A tube amp snobbish friend of ours brought his rig in to record a song for his new fishing guide TV show. He heard me screwing around with my guitar with some Zhangbucker custom wound pickups into the Helix. Didn't know what I was playing through. Set his rig up and the amp in the closet. I left early and left my rig in the studio. The next afternoon after work, I stop by the Studio and Tommy is playing around with the mix. Turns out Joe used my guitar and the Helix to overdub every single track except the slow intro solo. He didn't want to try to recreate the feedback he got on the lead, so he left that one alone. So basically 95% of his song is my guitar and my Line 6 Helix. He ended up asking if he could borrow the Helix for his final gig with one of his bands. I told him I would have, but since they're not exactly in stock very much at all online or local, I couldn't take a chance on something happening to unless I was gigging or unless it was in the studio. I have a feeling he may be ordering one of these puppies now. I haven't found myself missing my Kemper Rack or my Axe FX II XL+ either (and I am in NO WAY bashing them. They were great, but the elimination of a separate controller pedal and the just as good tones of the Helix spelled their departure). The problem I'm having is I'm playing so dadgum much when building patches, that I can't seem to finish getting my full set of gigging/recording presets finished. Making me too lazy to tweak because I'm enticed to play so much more. LoL!

Multiple Assign Effect on more than 1 footswitch.

I smell a clue... -
Finally got to listen. That's pretty groovy there! :)

I think scenes type capabilities would really sell a few more units... That and a few more really nice amp models and cabs. And of course the heel down wah disable. LoL
-
You sound like the same similar opinion that I have. I had a Kemper Rack, Axe FX II XL+, and a Helix all at the same time. A few weeks later I sold the Kemper and the Axe... Only because the Helix gave me just as high a quality tone without the extra chore of toting an outboard controller/MIDI pedal around. LoL! They're all similar, yet different, but high quality tone generators! It's really down to feature preferences and subtle nuances at this point in the game.

I took Glenn Delaune's jumped plexi patch and ran through every single amp cab using every single mic at the 1" position. It's unreal how many different tones you get with one amp model without ever touching the amp settings. Yes, some were not good, but I had a crap ton of very useable and quite a few awesome sounding tones. It was a very eye opening and educational exercise! Now I get to do it with the rest of the amp models. LoL! That should be a day an amp at a minimum in the afternoons after work. Proves how powerful cabs/IR's are!

I'm still harping on the auto engage/ disengage for wah

Heel down deactivate! -
Look on the bright side, too... You don't have to back up your presets before you do your first firmware update and editor install since it will occur as soon as you take it out the box. It will be the last time that's the case. LoL! :)

Oooooohhhh. Would be much appreciated! :)

Whoop! Help for you Apple boys n girls!

You assign the foot switches to what you want to control per preset. Each one can have up to 8 parameters/effects assigned to be toggled per switch, I believe.

That's really strange there... Wow

After owning Axe FX II XL+, Kemper, and Helix, I've been able to coax tones and feel I'm looking for from all three. Hence the Axe and Kemper being sold once I put the Helix through the ringer. I really think it all boils down to form factor, what effects you're looking to use, and some psychological "mine sounds better than yours" activity at this level of quality. I haven't even begun to experiment completely with all the cab options and amp settings, and I've done a LOT of tweaking! There are tones left in the Helix that I still haven't begun to explore. It will be a busy year, but the good problem with Helix is that I tweak something and then don't quit playing through that patch for an hour sometimes. In essence, it makes me want play more than tweak! :)

That would suck. Heel off wah is a great feature... -
Ouch. That sucks... Hate loading patches.

Make sure you installed the latest hardware driver for the operating system.

I have yet to actually use an IR with Helix! LoL! I'll have to download and try these. Thanks for your efforts and generosity!
