  1. What's that black bar?? Serisouly, this time i'm done.
  2. You should try using a compressor right after your IR block. It helps à lot. Also, your monitoring system can reduce or increase that effect. For exemple, I have a better "Amp in the room" feeling since I stopped playing my Helix on my monitoring system (Presonus Eris 8) and started playing on a FRFR speaker (EV ZLX 12).
  3. Thanks for your reply. For sure I could do that, good idea. In fact I'd like using 1 instance to have all effects in 1 patch but if it's not possible, at least I have your solution.
  4. Hello guys, I recently bought Cubase Elements 9.5 and Helix Native but I'm quite a noob with DAWs. I'd like to insert MixIR between path 1 and path 2 to allow me to easily try and mix ir's and keeping my pre and post amp effects. Is it possible with native? Thanks.

    I NEED HELP!

Several people had this issue when update process failed on pre 2.30 firmware (Helix floor showing glitchy Helix Rack boot screen). I can't remember how, but it can be fixed don't worry. Just contact support.
  6. Oh thanks Line 6... I missed the Boost Comp so much!! I was going to buy a M5 just for it.
  7. If it seems to you that your strat doesn't sounds good and have weaker signal compared to your other guitars, don't forget to check it's wiring. I had this problem and after checking, I discovered that the jack plate wire was almost completely unsoldered.
  8. You could attenuate this by increasing Bias amp control. On my clean amps patches, it's always maxed at 10 and it helped a lot.
  9. There are things they should improve like the IR management, updating process.. But a thing that really suck on the helix is their pitch shifting effects.
  10. Do not forget that it reacts like a mic'ed amp and not like an amp in the room.
  11. Many people won't agree with me but here's my experience. I got the Helix for 2 months, at first, I haven't been able to get a good sound with it and I was using stock cabs. Then I retried with Redwirez Ir's, sounded KILLER instantly. Since that moment, I've been able to get the greatest tones I was looking for. After that I retried the stock cabs and definetly, I found them not as good as Redwirez Ir's. But it's only my opinion and even if I haven't been able to make stock cabs sounds good, all the other stuff on the Helix is really great. Don't give up, it's a great unit.

    No update...

Try other usb ports, try unpluggin others usb devices. I saw some people having problems to update their FW with all their Usb ports except one..
  13. I'd love to get the "Boost Comp" from the M13 effects. Great comp, great boost, very versatile.. Neeed! :-)
