Hey guys. Today I try and break down how I mixed the heavy guitars from the "Radio Rock/Metal" video I posted a few weeks ago. I go over how I use EQ, Multiband Compression and other techniques using various plugins including FabFilter and Slate Virtual Mix Rack. I hope this helps someone and if you have any questions, drop that like button, subscribe and leave a comment. Thanks so much!

Is recording into a DAW using the Amplifi USB connection even a viable option for getting a good, quality sound out of your guitar? If you've found it to be a good option... what are some of the tricks for optimizing the sound quality? Thanks!

So the way I've been recording is I use the Helix into an interface which then goes into my Mac. On the Helix I have the guitar patch EQ'd and Compressed. I was wondering if I would get better mixing results by bypassing the EQ and Compression on the guitar patch for when I record, and then do the EQ'ing and Compression on my DAW.

Hi all, I have happily been mixing recordings imported into protools up to now. Today I did my first mix from a recording after the 1.2 update and I'm really struggling with the levels being too low. Anyone else experienced this? I'm having to push the gain up to near max and then bouncing to disk and pushing the gain up again in the mastering stage to get any volume. I may have just made some error when recording in the first place but I can't think what...

I'm about to upgrade to a new audio interface, something with several inputs, outputs and inserts. I wanted to use my M9 as a mixing device, as the effects are great and you can make a pretty juicy channel strip with the tube comp and api eq. Has anyone used their M9/M13/M5 in this way? If so, were the results good or bad? (Apologies if this has been talked about already - I can't find anything on this subject in the forum).

Is is possible to use the M20d as a personal monitor mixer? Just like the Roland M-48? The roland m-48 uses cat-5 connectors, and I was wondering if the AES/EBU connection can be used for digital signal input other than the L6 Link? I wanted know if I can use the m20d as a slave mixer (onstage).
