Anyhow, this is a user to user forum. There are no Line 6 staff here and only very occasionally do they visit these forums - (See the “sticky comment” in the black banner stripe at the top of this page entitled “Welcome to the Line 6 forums”).

 

Regarding your suggestion about triggering tremolo, IIRC this had been suggested previously - it hasn’t happened yet, so don’t hold your breath. Since the Stadium launched, this has become “the land that time forgot”!

Maybe this was said earlier, maybe possible, maybe not.

 

 I would love: A frequency analyzer/meter to better judge what my output is looking like. Sometimes going by ear doesn't always help. Most of my tweaks are at home with headphones, then I go to the venue. To be able to see visually what my sound is doing while getting feedback from my sound guy would better help me fine tune my patches and snapshots. I know the sound guy is there to mix and do his part but I want to make sure I can do as much as I can within Helix to make adjustments. Example: Lead solo snapshot that is clipping even though I'm making cuts. Too much cuts and then all of a sudden I'm being buried and sound harsh and thin.

 

Also, I'm not a fan of having to open up different apps on my computer in order to visually see frequency graphs.

I refer you to my previous post - the one right above yours.

 

It’s a little late to be expecting any new metering to be added to a product that is essentially at the EOL stage (10 years down the road), and having been superseded by the new flagship model -Stadium!

 

If you are seeking advice on how to deal with audio EQ/Balancing, then you should really post a request for advice in the main Helix forum because it is effectively dead in here.

This is my big one: Copy/paste of SETTINGS--specifically speaking of amp/cab models. You know when you have something dialed up in a single cab block and saved it as your user default, then you go to a dual cab block and now have to start fresh from the beginning. I hate that. When you select a dual cab, it should always go to the user defined settings you saved for the single cab block, and if not, be able to paste those settings so you don't have to redial it in from scratch. As this pertains to amp models, this is useful when you want to use the model as it exists in real life, so it'd be great to be able to copy/paste settings you saved on one channel of a model, then port them to the other channel. Time saver.

 

Melding two blocks together: You know how you have an amp dialed in with a certain pedal block, or a cab block you always use certain EQ settings with? I'd love to be able to call up the cab I dialed-in and it be immediately melded with the EQ block I set for it. 

 

Boss BD-2, Clean channel of Mahadeva and German Xtra, Vintage mode from Ch2 of the Rectifier. Hell, port in those old Pod Farm models. There's a lot of really good Line 6 Original models, not to mention those modeled from real amps that got skipped over in the HD500 and Helix era. Connor 50, Spinal Puppet, Chemical X, Mood, and a ton of others.

 

My main complaint with the og Helix will always be how it doesn't allow you to use Snapshots in a way that makes sense for switching between a clean amp model and a dirty one. You have to load on two different amp models, which kills processing power. If you need a pitch effect or synth for that preset, you're screwed.
