jshoenfelt
Is anyone else shopping for an interface for Native? What are you guys looking at, and why? Thanks for the input.
brue58ski
If you mean a way to use it by itself with no DAW. You will need to find a VST plugin host program. Here are two... https://www.cantabilesoftware.com/ http://www.hermannseib.com/english/Savihost.htm I've seen good things about Savihost. I haven't tried either.

massimosevero
if you don't need the interface for a recording use there are many options like the apogee jam ot the irig ik multimedia. if you want a real audio interface the only advice is to look for something with a good hi-z input. quality depends on your budget
timster666
I am pondering the same thing. I have been looking at Apogee One, and wonder if anybody knows if it would be able to offer the same quality input as the Helix?http://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/apogee-one
DunedinDragon
You may be asking the wrong group. Most of us either will use the Helix itself as an interface or other audio interfaces we've had for a long time. I'm sure the market has progressed significantly in simple single interfaces, but not many people here would be aware of them.
roscoe5
I'm looking forward to trying a single cable USB powered interface like my Line 6 UX2 or iRig Pro Duo along with laptop and traveller guitar.
Kevin-M
I've always had good luck with MOTU hardware as well as RME ( my current audio interface). Whatever you decide to get, just check out what's being used for AD conversion on it first.
anshulkarn
Can we get Pod HD to work as an interface for native? Also what kind of latency can we expect?
bjnette
I'll be using the HD500's s/pdif out into my Motu 2408mk III but you could go via USB as well. The HD already has impedance matching.
Rewolf48
Pod HD as in 500 or 500x will work fine. As for latency there are so many variables. I suggest trying it with any VST you want using your computer - I tried using leCab for its IR loading with amp modelling on the HD500 and there was some latency, but I was running 6 IRs in parallel on a low spec laptop. jshoenfelt
All good ideas, kinda wish I would have kept my HD500 now.
Unaim
Like many here, I'm thinking about using my POD as an interface for Native. In my case, it would be a Pod XT, but I don't know if it would be enough to achieve good results. What do you think? Should I stick to my veteran pod or buy a basic interface like the Scarlet Solo?
