It works fine for me.  You must be logged in to download tones. (and  it doesn't tell you that)

Yep...I puzzled over that for the better part of an hour the first time. And not even a hint that it's necessary to log in...

my question is not that customtone works bad, is that a few weeks ago there was more than 50 000 patches, and now there are 5 000 ... a lot of lost patches... i dont think that all the users delete his patches

The CustomTone web site is clearly broken, and has been since the new site redesign was launched.  Trying to edit my own tones (I am logged in) or see details on any other tones by clicking on the tone name USED to take you to an edit or view screen, but now always takes me to the Line6 homepage with the new AmpliFi system on full display.  Coincidence?  I think not.  As a web programmer, I know how bone simple a fix this is, and furthermore that there was no real reason for it to be broken to begin with.  I have opened a support ticket on this (and I'm not the only one) but I expect like most other issues at this point and given the recent and ongoing Yamaha buyout, this will be summarily ignored.

The times they are a changing boys and girls.

It's pretty annoying that we're unable to edit our customtone uploads. I just recently uploaded a bunch for the first time only to find out I can't tell anyone songs/artists names and all that and what I've set the footswitches to do.

Sick to death of seeing that Amplifi ad show up.

Lettuce know if they get back to you.

Put in a ticket, they replied it had been fixed last week.  I check and it was just as broken.  I replied "horse feathers" so we'll see what they do now.

For the record, I tried on 3 different machines using the Chrome, Firefox and Internet Exploder browsers....On Windows 7 and Android 4.1.2 and 4.4

How do I edit or add comments to my tones?

On the customtone website just click on the title of the particular tone of yours that you want to edit and it'll bring up a page with all of the fields you can enter data into.

those are all the tones compatible with HD500.  If you choose Pod Farm instead for example, you get 60427.  Try selecting a different piece of gear to see more offerings...

yeah but not all of those 50000 patches were actually compatible with the POD HD500.  The site actually works better now because the filtering is more effective...

I have been using Customtone for the last 3 years and honestly there was never 50,000 patches for the HD500.... That means there would have been thousands of pages. When I first bought my HD500 there were about 40 pages of patches.  I watched as that number grew to 500 when I bought my HD500X.  I always eagerly waited as new patches would show up, but now it looks like they are organized alphabetically which kind of stinks imho.....

I have no idea how many tones there are/were at any given time.  What I do know is that I don't want to wade through 50,000 of anything to find the 10 (and I think that's being generous) that I'd find useful. I'd die of old age by the time I found "my" tones.

I suffer from CTD (constant tweaking disease) too...but good god it's easy to spend 3 hours doing nothing but that and forget to actually play something. Gotta remind myself to knock it off sometimes. Unless something's seriously broken, it's always "close enough for rock 'n' roll"! :)

I also suffer from "CTD"  but sometimes as a songwriter a different sound tweaks the creative juices and provokes something nice. It can be time consuming though if you don't discipline yourself!!

for example... a few weeks ago you find for "djent" and for the hd500 only there was over 20 pages of theese... now there are only 8 patches.... a patch called "floyd gasm" is not in the database, a violin patch i uploades is not in the database... and i can go on... im just saying...

I remember the floyd gasm patch, maybe the owner deleted it... is this your violin patch?   http://line6.com/customtone/tone/256750/

What I usually do is if I find a tone I like, bring up that person's profile in Customtone and just download all their tones into their own folder. Then I can just drag them all into HD Edit and check them out. I have found a few interesting tricks and combinations that way... Keeps them all sorted neatly on the computer without just being one giant mess...

I wish you could show more than 10 per page... how about some options like 50, 100, 200...
