Variax Individual string bends/pitch shifting using Helix buttons or expression pedal.

Does anyone know if it is possible to bend the pitch of individual strings up or down on the Variax by use of the Helix expression pedal or using a momentary switch?  

 

Similar to another product by another company.  Bending the string  controlled with expression pedal as if using a finger to bend the string.

I'm afraid you'll have to play all your Rage covers the old fashioned way...;)

You can control the string pitch parameter(s) with an expression pedal, but as mentioned above they don’t bend. The pitches are fixed steps. This is just a limitation of how the Variax handles the pitch shifting.

Rage Against the Machine never specified what type of machine they were furious with, but I reckon it was probably a printer! ;-)

Well you can't do what you describe but you can control parameters with the tone and volume knob.   I use this to simulate Tom Scholz's Space Echo.
