  1. @mtumi... many great reasons, those are already listed above. In case you didn't know this, Line 6 gave us options that you can use to your advantage in this case. User defaults to the rescue, roughly page 19 of the manual. If this is something that really bothers you... simply go through each amp model and adjust the "channel volume" of each amp model so they match - and save them as a user default. The next time you are auditioning amp models, they'll be leveled the way "you" wanted them leveled.

  2. At home I usually play guitar through my HX Stomp, sitting at the desk and the pedal is not within reach. Switching via the included HX Edit I find a bit cumbersome, I would like to have hotkeys. While looking for a small, programmable desktop MIDI switch, I came across a MIDI JavaScript library that runs on the Chrome browser. I wrote myself a small script that can also access my connected HX Stomp via USB MIDI and is easily customizable to my own setup. I tested it only with my HX Stomp, but it can also send MIDI messages via other MIDI interfaces. Maybe some of you find it useful, too. Have fun with it! > Get it here

  3. I thought it was worth the purchase when I got it 5 years ago so the answer is yes, it's worth it. I would pretty much assume just about everyone here think's it's worth it. Otherwise I'm not so sure they would be here.

  4. "When it first came out" was almost 8 years ago... there have been numerous updates/ improvements since the original firmware. So much so, it's almost like a different device. That being said, whether or not you'll like this iteration any better than what you had back then, is anybody's guess... and there's exactly one way to find out.

  5. The best way to do this is probably with Helix Native. If you don’t already have it you can use the free trail period. Helix Native uses a Hardware Compatibility (HC) mode to translate presets into the various formats used by the different Helix devices. You would use HX Edit to export your HX Effects presets. Then use Helix Native in the Helix LT HC mode to import the presets and convert them into LT format. Then, still in Helix Native, Save the presets to Disk. Then, in HX Edit with the LT connected, import the presets. They will then be stored in your Helix LT. The manuals for both Helix Native and HX Edit provide full details.
