  1. Place the cab/IR at the end of the signal chain (before the Output Block) and place a SEND (to the amp) before the IR.

  2. That happens automatically now (not an option) with Helix Stadium. Updates to a USER preset are automatically applied to all instances of that preset in all setlists.

  3. I would like to see an option to remove the Tap Tempo function from the Tuner button. I know it’s just a matter of time before I’m at a gig and I unknowingly double-tap the Tuner button when accessing the tuner, thus sending the Tempo way out of whack from where it was set on the patch. I only use Tap Tempo on a few of my general use patches. Every other patch is song-specific with the tempo set exactly where it should be, so it would be nice to be able lock the tempo on those patches and prevent it from inadvertently being changed if I happen to be tuning.

  4. FYI - if you update your FW your plain vanilla Catalyst will magically BECOME A CX! I did it to my Catalyst - it's GREAT! But, if for some unfathomable reason you don't WANT a better, more powerful Catalyst, FOR FREE, below is from the original Catalyst Pilot's Guide: 1. Press the REVERB button to enable the Reverb 2. Press again to switch the Reverb off. 3. Like the EFFECTS, press and hold the REVERB button for two seconds to enter reverb selection mode. The AMP SELECTOR encoder LED ring will dim, and you can use the SELECTOR to scroll through the six different reverbs. Press the REVERB button again to exit selection mode. Remember to press and hold CH A or B to save your reverb settings to that preset. If the above doesn't work and a factory reset doesn't fix it, open a support ticket.

  5. These videos crack me up. Doesn't matter how many of them you watch, or who made them. ALL modelers can be made to sound good, or like garbage. However, trying to extract some sort of objective truth from that which is entirely subjective, is a fool's errand. You either like a piece of gear, or you don't. And much of it rests on whether or not you know what you're doing, and are willing to put the time in to learn how to get that unit (whatever it is) to produce the sounds you hear in your head. Put me on the track at the Indy 500, in a car with a couple of million dollars worth of race-tech engineering in it, and I'll still come in dead-a$$ last...but it wouldn't be the car's fault. It'd be because I'm not a race car driver. Same thing applies here.
