  1. Tips for cases and boards here: http://line6.com/support/topic/15916-carrying-case-or-bag/
  2. Maybe because of the case handle? Not inspiring confidence...
  3. ...any audio apps during installation running? Remember (for this beta version): Shut down all Line 6 software as well as any software that streams audio, including, but not limited to: iTunes, Spotify, DAWs, etc.
  4. ...hey, hold it... I really appreciate njglover's efforts (although here it was just copy & paste). And it is a good essay on helix, IMVHO. Oh, BTW: The beta editor is out ;-)
  5. (Caution: This is meant ironically...) ...So many words for a simple message: Helix is really cool. Hey, thanks for your autobiography, Mr Drinktoomuch!
  6. ...I knew that the editor would work like a matchmaking agency ;-) ...
  7. BTW, did you follow http://line6.com/support/topic/18774-helix-through-headphones/?hl=headphones this discussion? Allow me to report some observations I have made: I know a lot of 'HiFi guys' and they keep complaining frequently when they have to deal with linear monitoring or FRFR speakers. By now I believe, that both needs indeed a different kind of hardware and listening (that can be trained like everything). This is no 'esoteric superstition' or something - it has a lot to do with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychoacoustics Maybe you got to get used to it, too...
  8. http://line6.com/software/index.html http://line6.com/support/topic/19444-helix-application-v110-now-includes-full-editor/ ...check it out and report: http://line6.com/support/topic/19438-helix-beta-editor-out/
  9. The (very stable beta) editor is out http://line6.com/support/topic/19444-helix-application-v110-now-includes-full-editor/ BTW I'm happy that Helix has no wireless stuff inside...
  10. We don't know how they sound, right?
  11. "Most headphones doe'snt sound pretty good on helix and really different from frfr speakers. Motly they sound to harsh, bright and noisy" (quoted from ideascale). My headphones by Sennheiser, AKG and even my 'nonames' (let's say they are all newer and maybe better ;) ) sound pretty good, not harsh, not too bright or noisy. I guess it is easy to persist in saying something (like 'most headphones') and furthermore to call for new features. Check out better headphones, please.
  12. GUESS THIS IS AN GOOD EXAMPLE FOR HELP IN A FORUM: Very constructive, thank you, sir!
  13. I guess that's exactly not a workaround for vinny199 (OP) - and I really understand that. 'Pre-switching' and things like that are not at all helpful for live musicians. They help to destroy your timing etc., trust me. Maybe a solution in studios, although 'pre-synchronizing' is also a mess. BUT:
  14. Well. I think, the more stuff you 'waste' in (global or partially global) EQs, Cuts etc., the more you have to give other (more interesting) things a miss. Your headphones are old. Helix is brandnew. Sorry, but maybe some good new headphones are an alternative ;) ?!
  15. So, which headphones are you using?
  16. So far I have read almost nothing about crashes, frozen screens etc. Still remember, this is a beta version - seems that you've done very good job which was worth waiting for it! Again, please report (and if there are probs, don't forget to mention your OS etc.) - next step is the stable editor, and than 'the funny part' begins ;)
  17. ...forgot to mention... Guess it's very important to mention the OS (like StudioTM did, for example), especially when problems should occur. Furthermore report crashes (OS & Helix), USB trouble etc. with event reports ;)
  18. Simple question to L6 team: Will it be possible to tweak patches 'offline' (without an usb connection) in the future? Would answer many speculations (or doubts) here...
  19. The editor for the POD HDs needed a connection, too. Anyway, hurganico, you have interesting hobbies and curiosities ;)
  20. THANK YOU L6!! This version is (public) beta. So go ahead and test it - but: Don't complain. Report. BTW: There's already a nu thread dealing with it...
  21. THANK YOU L6!! This version is (public) beta. So go ahead and test it - but: Don't complain. Report.
  22. Dear vinny199, my questions weren't meant to be "condescending" - I just tried to be clear (and too sharply for you, obviously). As someone stated earlier in this forum: I hope that you'll find your gear...
  23. ...maybe, or eventually or possibly... This discussion ist already extensively debated elsewhere!?
  24. What is your "normal" board then? Why is switching between clean and distortion a problem? Didn't you notice these things when you were assembling your patches? "Beyond anything normal" is true - but for me it's exactly the other way around - never had such a highly evolved briquet under my feet...
