  1. Then it is better to use (already looped) backing tracks...
  2. ... that's what I apprehended :P All right, when I listen to music, there is of course a different 'feeling', when I hear something louder, deeper, harsher, [...] I did a lot audio engineering and believe me - for every 'feeling' you will find an explanation that has to do with physical laws. Even for the ostensible mysterious feelings in a bathtube ;) .
  3. The esoteric part(y) has just begun :D . I like to play in my bathtub - wow, what a broadcast
  4. [First of all (in case you don't know): Turn off the phantom power in your Behringer channel.] EQing can be really tricky and needs a lot of experience... Anyway, my approach is always trying to use the Global EQ first - this does it in many cases. But you have to find your solution with your setup!
  5. I guess that the L6 team spent a whollotta bunch of time in finding the right combination(s) of amps & cabs for even different purposes... The 'search for the right IR' ends up very often in going back to the included cabs - that's my experience with Helix (for about 6 month). Of course every combination of amp / cab / real speaker / room is different - but I'm very happy that I don't have to change permanently IR's (because they did such a good job) !!! Tweaking the global EQ does it for me almost every time... And: I have so much more time to play :D
  6. We're talking about * timing (which is a lifelong training task for all musicians) and * syncing / clocking which refers to the technical aspect of looping. You can use perfect loopers (equipment) having no success as long as your timing is not well trained. You can have perfect timing but you won't come off as long as your looper hardware / software is not good enough... You really need both to 'sleep better' ;)
  7. As with any cable, you can find better VDI's (there are many manufacturers, actually). You can use a modeled guitarsound and the sound of the mags simultaneously (only via VDI cable and e.g., Helix). And, there is something like http://line6.com/support/manuals/jtv69s
  8. I would like to know if L6 really appreciates Glenn's work... He's doin' such a great job - and therefore: Vote for Glenn : http://line6.com/support/user/47950-gangsterusa/ ;)
  9. ...and for you guys, too: Check out this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u38HcVMHZ-M The fun part starts after 0:33 secs
  10. Fools seldom differ (or great minds think alike): Was searching for this movie, too - you made it ealier :D @R_J_Randall: Check out the 'violating' after 0:33 sec.
  11. Humph... Maybe there's again an 'easteregg-alike' shortcut.. DI, please help us!
  12. It was an apple  Dentist found in this forum; told me to be brave
  13. It's hard (almost impossible) to synchronize two hardware loopers / players / whatever without using a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIDI_beat_clock The longer the loop keeps looping, the more likely you'll hear that 'chaos'
  14. Hey, folks, take some chill pills ;) Helix seems to be almost 'unbreakable', and there are obviously very few users that hat bad luck and got a faulty unit (they mostly complain about squeaking pedals :P ). Tell you what's really bad: Think I got a broken tooth ...
  15. The AUX input has 10MΩ . Anyway, I got better results (with all my active instruments) using the adjusted regular guitar input.

    Setlists

    Then vote for it: http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Footswitch-Setlist-Selection/817812-23508
  17. Already heard it 'cause I made a shortcut to https://www.youtube.com/user/Spam9sucks Man, I love your playin'!
  18. Although using modelers as long as you do, I wouldn't agree to this. Helix has the most intuitive UI by now - and I never needed less time to build usable tones. And sometimes it is not useful to compare the incomparable :P
  19. Nope. Or you tweak your patches so that you can use both (even simultaneously)... If your'e waiting for your Helix: Now it's the best time to read the manual: http://line6.com/support/manuals/helix http://line6.com/support/topic/14267-helix-and-the-dt-amps/ More: http://helixhelp.com/pmwiki.php http://line6.com/support/topic/19961-helix-amp-model-gallery-real-controls-vs-invented/
  20. Some hours ago, Digital Igloo posted: So let's check out the ideascale ;)
  21. Line6 gave you a manual. You can have an updated version online. What goes 'round, comes around: Maybe you should update your pronounced views, too?
