FR monitos for Helix with guitar and bass: 2x12" or 1x 15?

There are already several threads dealing with (active) frfr speakers. I use the Mackie Thump 12 as monitors, for example. -

This monitor is really for hum & noise fans... -
I wouldn't place my Helix in that 'padded cell' !

Piezo retrofit for electric guitars / 13 pin MIDI / Helix Variax Model Pack
klangmaler replied to roscoe5's topic in Helix
Pheww... Guess you can't put everything into one single box... And maybe we miss the forest for the trees that way (midi / audio / pickup / modeling / simulation / synthesizing / [...] / [...] / [...] ... At least things get slightly confusing (at least to me) ;) ... I'm quite happy with the JTV (Korea) & Helix, though. -

...that's the clue: 'Adult conversation'. Give it a try. Sincerely, Third Grader. -

Some people confuse update frequency with quality (and stability). I always prefer the latter. About transparency: This has a lot to do with communication. And when work is in progress, the 'information quantity' gets less - I can understand this (up to a certain degree ;)). I guess what people are missing is some kind of agenda or schedule. But if L6 really takes account into the wishes of the Helix users, this can be tricky. Thinking of the ideascale and the editor uprising etc.: Consumers are really close to the progress, I guess (I know, I already can hear the moaning: 'What?! What about my wish [...]')... But sometimes things are messed up because some customers keep crying :D I'm still curious because DI said that the fun will (really) start after the editor has been published... -
...bring this thread up?

This thread remains like 'Groundhog Day'...

One (already immortal) guy created this: http://helixhelp.com Maybe the kind of wiki (or FAQ or whatever) you suggested could be integrated there? And another guy posted this on TGP: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8wlap4i7y2bs6ms/Helix%20Tricks%20160319.docx?dl=0 Sorry, only bookmarked the sites - not the names...

Question by OP was, what he could use keeping his old stuff, I guess...
-
I know this sounds precociously, but EQing means using your ears in the first place. Would be a nice optical feature, but I would like to know, what eventually would be limited instead then.

Thanks, fukuri! Maybe someone should add this kind of troubleshooting FAQ's to helixhelp.com...

Thanks.

The good old 'behind-the-curtain-effect', LOL... As you are using old headphones, I suggest using sanitary headphone covers. Will provide some damping, too ;)

Really nice job! Patches by Glenn? JTV and Helix fit - I love it every day...

And again: All discussed recently. We got your point, I believe. And I'm on your side in so far (as I already posted above "I bet you are not playing that speedy punk stuff (like jorisgriffioen)"). And I bet, L6 is trying to find a solution to minimize changing latency. Folks, this discussion leads to a 'loop of stuffiness' for the moment...
-
This has all been discussed here (and in some 'older' threads) extensively. I doubt that - for the moment - someone will come up with factual new insights. Let's simply wait and see what L6 can tweak...
-
...but I bet you are not playing that speedy punk stuff (like jorisgriffioen), for example. I really understand that for some kind or style of music you must have faster patch changes. Therefore I wrote "Every Jack will find his Jill"...
-
Do you know that your Helix can work like an interface / soundcard via USB? Why then using the Presonus Audio box ITwo?
-
Hey, another idea: An acoustic guitar ;) Every Jack will find his Jill. And although life is to short I will have the time to wait for further improvements. For the moment I'm happy I don't have to switch patches faster than I can change notes on the guitar :P
-
Yeah, THIS IS a loop. http://line6.com/support/topic/18965-latency-when-im-changing-patches/ (...and I know that you like your Digitech http://line6.com/support/topic/19350-will-line-6-continue-to-improve-modeling/?do=findComment&comment=145649 )
-
...ok then. What did you try already? Check this out: http://line6.com/support/topic/19444-helix-application-v110-now-includes-full-editor/ USB port changed? Audio or midi connection to other apps disconnected?
