Even with FW 1.12 rebuilding messages... Why? What is being 'rebuild' during booting?!

These great sound are meant for stage use, studio use [...] , but maybe not in the 'steppin through-the-patches manner'... I always try to use one patch for one song - and that works fine for me (live!) ;)

Hey, don't be afraid - if you safe your tones and setlists periodically, what should go wrong? Do you think Helix will explode or fly away or what?? And if you need space, simply swap some patches...

This thread is again like That's true for my helix & my guitars, too. I use the latest firmware, good strings (that are not too thin) and, always, my ears 'additionally' ;)

I really do recommend the VDI (Variax) Input, though it is almost noiseless and it's very easy to build up a FX loop for your pedals! You can place that loop internally wherever you like, see manual p.29 (in front of anything else, for example ;) )...

Does Helix freeze if it is not connected to a computer? If it is connected - does the prob occur with Macs in the first place? I guess that most of those 'crashes' or 'frozen moments' happen when helix is connected via USB. And then this list could be quite long, actually, and many 'unpredictable phenomenons' may happen :P - Helix can work as an audio interface / soundcard - I realized that many users don't consider this, for example. Many of them configure the I/O connections sloppy and thus some 'crashes' may have to do with that (routing)... - There are (still) many Mac users, that have probs with drivers; - Firewalls, security software etc. may have stuttering (or freezing) effects - A faulty USB cable... - The editor is still in BETA - [...] So, maybe the best thing is to report those 'crashes' (centrally with a detailed description) here: http://line6.com/support/topic/16083-helix-bug-reports/

That's one of the very rare moments in my life that I'm glad to have such small feet (size 7) :P Honestly, never had this probs with HD500 or Helix...

Totaaly agree with this! I thought it would be clear that the patches were already dialed in - and then using GEQ (at first) for the live setup... Guess this was a bit ambiguous ;)

I know and work with IK Amplitube, NI guitar rig, Bias FX and some more. Again, I'm really happy that the L6 crew did such a great job and so I don't have to care of IR cab tweaking so much with Helix :) ! I use IR's for tweaking acoustic sounds in the first place...
