  1. Thank you for all the info, im going to have to get the amp bundle , all the demos ive heard sound Great !!
  2. Im thinking about buying the amp pack bundle, but was hoping i could hear what you guys think about them first.
  3. Ive had my DT25 for a while (LOVE IT)using the DTedit to program my favorite amps , i recently got a podhd500x and i noticed when i use the treadplate with the L6 link my pod always chooses topology 3 , but when i just use my amp without the pod and switch to the treadplate my DTedit says im using topology 4, i think Topology 4 sounds like the correct one to my ears . so whats the deal? does anyone also have this issue im having . is their anything i can do to save Top #4 as default on my pod? or do i just have to remember to change it every time i make a new Treadplate patch?
  4. thanks for sharing . it kinda reminds me of a cross between the Knight rider theme and I run by Flock of Seagulls, nice job.
  5. they are pinned at the top of the page http://line6.com/support/forum-18/announcement-27-latest-hd500x-tone-building-videos/ i noticed that a little while ago and forgot to ask about it
  6. maybe try the U-vibe with the speed assigned to the exp. you can also try the Rotary drum. try adjusting the fdback to see if that helps any. try looking through this link you may find a better effect to use http://line6.com/data/6/0a06434d408c50904b6a219d8/application/pdf/POD%20HD%20Model%20Gallery%20-%20English%20(%20Rev%20D%20).pdf
  7. The rotovibe kinda sounds like a phase 90 or script phase. you can set the phasers speed to be controlled by the exp pedal and that would get you close id set the exp 1 to turn on and controll the wha and then exp two to trun on and controll the speed of the phase maybe turn on the phaser with a button so you can have both phaser and wha off if you want. good luck.
  8. im not sure if this is a problem for you but ive noticed that when the looper says (pre) the looper is actually in post ,and when the looper says (post) the looper is actually in Pre. im thinking they set it up like this so you can know what the button would do if you press it , its not telling you the current state of the loop position. confusing for me to say the least . but i use a separate looper pedal because i want more options with the looper. Boss RC-30- sometimes ill use my Nux loopcore.
  9. Very cool, thank you for the info.
  10. i was wondering if anyone knows the best amp/speaker combo to get close to a Mark iic+ kind of tone with the pod hd500x any hints or tips is much appreciated thank you.
  11. thank you for giving us your time to make these demos, i really enjoy your hard work. sounds great!
  12. @ Duncnn. those two tones are really cool, i think i just might be able to do something with them. thank you for sharing.
  13. if the Pitch glide is not in front of the harmony you wont get the correct harmonizing tone , i think (shrug) im not really sure 8) but i think the tone your needing is a 10th and the harmonizer stops at 9th so to get it up to a 10th you would need the octave before the 3rd
  14. i would set a pitch glide to +12 and mix to 50% , after that add the smart harmony set it to Key D, scale minor, shift 3rd. that should get you in the ball park. i would put that after your amp before any reverb. youll have to play around with the high gain amps to get the tone you want good luck you can try to move the pitch glide in front of the high gain amp and the smart harmony after the amp.maybe a compressor after the smart harmony if you think it needs it.
  15. Have you tryed to use your pod with a Line6 DT amp? ive got the DT/25 and it really does sound great in my little music room.
  16. Like The real Zap i also use a Boss RC-30 . its great for adding a simple 4/4 or 3/4 drum beat its around 300$ ive found a clone of it called NuX loopcore. i like the drum beats better in the loopcore it has twice as many drum beat options compared to the Boss RC30.the nux loopcore is about $90 ,the only problem i have with the loopcore is it does not have stereo instrument inputs. i wish it was a TRS jack but its not. +if you wait a lil bit you can buy a (beatbuddy) . its great for adding drums to a guitar practice session. however im waiting on the new(Digitech Trio band creater). the trio adds drums and a bass line to your chord progression , it actually learns your song and plays with you . if your wanting your guitar to be a drum set (Drumatar) then Roland GR-55 is the way to go , warning this GR55Synth is so much fun you might not leave your music room ever. I just found out that The Nux Loopcore($90) does in fact have a Stereo input i was wrong.
  17. very cool, thank you for sharing your work with us. it is very inspirational. i like to check your site in the mornings hoping to see/hear any new videos your making . nice job. Bryan
  18. i agree, all tho i love my tone . i dont understand why the built in looper doesnt record in stereo. that is why i use an Rc-30 with a TRS cable from the POD FX send to my loopstation's stereo ins.
  19. :o ,thanks for sharing i cant wait to see your next video . your guitar skills are awesome, ive had a lot of fun learning your plexi tune. thank you.
  20. i noticed when i use the L6 link my DT changes topologys and tube configuration to match the pre amp i choose on my POD(awesome) . im wondering if i was to change the amps inside the DT/25 amp using DT edit . will it effect my L6 link . example ,using the DT edit if i change the topology 1 from the fender twin( normal) to a marshall JTM 45 using the DT edit . and then later using the L6 link i call up the fender twin on my pod and the amp chooses the correct topology 1 . will it be using the marshall topology 2 and not topology 1 because i reprogrammed topology 1 to be a marshall jtm45 topology. the more i learn, the more i realize i don't know all that much at all .
  21. My buddys kid gave me his afinity squire. i love the single coil bell like tone but these stock pups are so harsh , not to mention the bridge has no tone controll to tame it. The guitar just sounded nasty through my patches it broke up on my clean patches and just had a shrill harshness overall .not anymore after i found the inputZ option. i just had to lower the Z a few notches and the patches work great the clean patches stay clean and most importantly that harsh shrill tone it had is completely gone. its sounds so different its like i went out and bought texas specials . Thank you line 6 this podhd500x is great.
  22. I use the Boss RC-loop pedals they make a few of them at this point. the new pedals have up to 3 hrs of record time and built in drum patterns with tap tempo ,stereo ins /outs. the only down side to these recording pedals i see is they can suck away some of your tone , however using it with the pod you can record with it in the FX loop and once you have it looped , you can turn off the FX loop on the pod and the loop will keep playing while your guitars tone will bypass the looper altogether. they are not cheap they sell around 200-300$. i found another company that has a clone of the Boss RC-3 looper . its called NUX loop core the only problem with the NUX loop core is it does not have Stereo in for instruments. which is very odd because it has stereo outs. but this Nux pedal is about 90$ and has 6 hrs of record time.
  23. Thank you for the info. I am very happy with my tone this rig is amazing.
  24. im using My PodHD500x with a DT/25 over a L6 link and i was wondering about what amp models are best used with the L6 link and a DT25. pre amp only verses the full amp model or does it even matter when using the L6 link? thank you for your time CrispyFunk.
  25. im using a RC-30 loopstation , it has stereo 1/4 inch instrument in and it also has a mic in with its own level . Ive got my RC-30 hooked into my DT-25 FXs loop with a few other fx pedals , i then have a mic cable going from the DI out on the DT-25 to my mic in on the loopstation , i found that it has a much nicer tone blending the two signals .with a hint of FX and mostly the Dry out or the other way around a lot of FX and a hint of the dry signal . it also allows me to use the simulated mic from the DI out to color the tone even more. this amp is indeed an amp factory . i just wish i didnt have to use midiox to set it all up,i have no ipod
