  1. Sam ash is out as of 12/11/15
  2. Please post any retailer you find outside of eBay that has this unit in stock to help those trying to purchase one.
  3. I'm also not affiliated with sweetwater. This is just what I found out some time ago. Don't take my word for it ask questions. Cheers
  4. Just FYI, the 36 month credit you start paying as soon as you place your preorder! So months could go buy and your paying for something you don't have yet. The sweetwater 24 month only starts payment when helix ships. This is because they are seperate credit card banks.
  5. Did line 6 grossly underestimate the demand for the helix? It's funny how MF shows January delivery date and GC December, same Wharehouse!
  6. If ou receive a helix box that the seal has been broken, retaped or something looks odd with the way the innards have been repacked. Send it BACK! GC, and the like are notorious for sending you returned items. I call it hot potato. Their hoping you won't find the bug someone else did.
  7. So, here's just a rant. If your a guitarist that sits in your basement nit picking tone by all means load your wall with as many l2ts and subs you can get your hands on, to get that illusive tone you hear in your head. But for the non pro touring gig warrior. It's helix, wedge, FOH. I think if you have been accustomed to the tone of cyber style devices the helix Is the next big step. If your a tube amp aficionado, then it my take time for your ears to adjust, and not have to have that wall of speakers to get same. IMO
  8. Anything sounds good if you run it thru enough speakers subs etc.
  9. I bought a Samson RSXM12A active coaxial monitor and I LOVE it! Only cost $350 so I was a bit skeptical (bought it from Sam Ash online and figured I'd just return it if it sucked) but I've been blown away by how this thing sounds! Perfectly flat response and plenty loud enough for any use I can imagine. It's got a killer look and I'm just totally psyched about how good it sounds! How do you still like your Samson? I'm seriously looking at these.
  10. Yeah I wish the amplify was faster switching and some other things. But, for playing music thru and just jam'n it great. The helix is run thru for now a mackie 350. Will be getting atomic CLR neo in the future. It sounds killer. And programing it tone wise is a snap if you have had the amplify via iPad. But you do get spoiled with the remote amplify app. I wish the helix was Bluetooth. I run the helix at church and in a cover band. But the blues band I'm in I run pedals into a tube amp.
  11. Moderato, My post was just to tell everyone this is just a fun amp to use outside of gigging. And yes I have ponied up per say, I have dt50 hd509 X. Oh also the helix. Any questions?
  12. I have had the amplify 150 since it was introduced. As everyone mostly on this forum have found out is this unit with its limited processing power and the like, is slow. It was not designed for stage use per say even though I have used it that way. Switching presets is very slow compared to other effect floor models i.e. Helix, hd500, etc. also, the more you have hooked up to your amplify, Bluetooth, usb computer the slower it is in switching. If you unhook all these it will speed up preset switching. Still it's does suck that you have to time your switches. I would of thought better of a line 6 product. None the less, I still like to use it for streaming music and jamming.
  13. So it basically comes down to Home or stage. If your a guitar player who just plays at home, Frfr may not be your cup of tea. Your use to tube amp tones so a monitor or the like with flat response may not work for you. thus you go the dt route or other amp hookups. But, for gigging guitarist that wants to just hook up to the FOH, then a frfr system is a must, or all you presets will be off tonal wise. To narrow it even further if you play at only one place or you bring your own PA system having your frfr monitor you hook up into to set your helix presets should be as close to sounding to the mains as possible. For me it's frfr monitor then hook xlr to FOH and use global eq for different PA systems to gently message my presets. Fast simple sounds great. It all comes down to how much stuff you want to schlep around I guess.
  14. No biggie, I've been tempted. But sweetwater will never devulge why they were returned. I'll wait for an unopen new box
  15. I meant. $100 less than full retail at sweetwater
  16. Just go yo eBay. Look up line6 helix. Go to refine and pick completed listings
  17. The only problem is when you ask sweetwater what the stated reason for the return. They just give a canned answer... So, you could be getting a lemon? Or not.
  18. Nope. They put them on. And within the hour. SOLD! You have to be quick. Some go in minutes of the posting. Just look at the complete listings.
  19. For those that can't wait. I've now counted six returns now selling on eBay from sweetwater for $100 less. They go fast.
  20. What are you running your helix into to get your tones/presets right? Frfr? And what make model?
  21. Thanks leftzilla, I had the hd500x dream rig- took to much time to set up. Now have amplify150- very easy to get what you want but not stage worthy. Looks like the helix is next. Just waiting a little longer for units to come in and also get some of the initial bugs fixed.
  22. Good enough. If you do get it going. This would be a perfect shootout between amplify150 vs helix thru same speakers tone wise.
  23. So, how does your amplify compare to the helix sound/tone wise?
  24. Run the helix into a frfr (monitor) then in to your church PA. DUMP the amp, it will change your tone huge from how you set it up. Or you might need to use pre's. run helix to frfr thru to FOH.
