To answer my own question. YES, the fbv mkii works with the my FH 1500! Have preordered fvb3 to have the latest greatest.

Just ordered will give full review an two days.. Helix vs FH 1500... Amplify150 vs FH 1500. Stay tuned!

Unfortunately it's the nature of the cyber world game. My 500x, amplifi150 and helix all were lagging in the instant preset switching.

What I heard and read. The mkii short board will work with the Firehawk 1500. And I with ya on why the fb3 wasn't released same time.

Just want to make sure I got this all straight. You ran stereo xlr outs to FOH board? Did you and your son think the tones you set up at home transferred well thru the xlr outs? This just might be the ticket!

Ok, ok... This is craziness! Let me get this right. You buy a $1500 floor processor to help get rid of your excess load to a gig then you want to add the fh1500 63lbs of mass. Why in the heck don't you just bring a real tube amp then. Also this is one of the many reasons I dumped my helix. it was costing to much to find what you think you need to make your helix sound good. Or am I missing something here? Or maybe 99.9% of everyone on this forum just plays at home and can have there helix tied to there l2t to there Firehawk 1500 to then whatever, because they don't schlep gear. And spend, spend, spend for trying to justify making there helix sound good. Why not just buy something that's sounds right to begin with.

Yeah I tried it all.... But the funny thing is my 500x didn't act of sound this way either does my amplify 150 or others before them just the helix or my helix. I'll get over it.

But I'm a long time line 6 guy... So I hope this was just isolated with me and mine. Cheers

Anything is possible, but it was at three different venues. Using my own presets. Trying bought ones. Changing ir's. Guitars etc. or maybe just maybe something was not right with my helix?

Nope I never use headphones. If this helps others. I had a mackie 350 v2 and others. I would also put then on a pole as if suspended FOH mains to get close. But, most patches would sound bassy boomy so I tried turning everything down to the point it would just sound not right. Mute point.... my helix is gone. Hope everyone does better!

Hate to say this but my amplify 150 mic' sounded better on stage . And this is from others at the gig...

Well, I GIVE UP..... UNCLE... I returned my first helix due to things wrong on it, gave it a second chance. Bought my second. Everything seemed great or pretty good at home.. Then.... I took it out live, what a sonic night mare. Every patch to bassy or something. it was like the bass player was cranked and he wasn't even playing. Tried different guitars. Xlr out vs 1/4 out with direct boxes etc. I had to turn the bass down on everything to the point the patch sounded bad.. Low cuts didn't help either at helix or board. I had bought patches my own patches and different ir's but still the same outcome. Plus I had this weird latency problem between the monitor I was running via 1/4 outs and what came out the mains. Tried three times to get this to work live and no way Jose! I'm not bashing just letting you know that it might be great in your house and thru your headset, but a possible sonic nightmare out on stage, IMO. CAN YOU SAY FIREHAWK 1500.. Well need less to say no more helix, I'm :-(

I believe no midi, it's the modern helix looking mkii. It pretty much works with what the mkii worked with. There is a list in faqs I think.

I understand, and I have one on preorder. But, someone at line6 must know the dimensions of the fbv3. Just trying to get the right size pedaltrain for it.

Let's here what you think... How does it sound. Does the front side tone sound close if you use xlr outs to FOH? Etc.....

Line 6, please give us the correct dimensions and wieght of this amp. Other venders are all over the place with dimensions..

In the meantime will the fbv mkii shortboard work with Firehawk 1500 till dedicated floor controller comes out?
