The fbv short board Mkii does so will the fbv3 when it comes out. Call line 6 tech to find out for sure.

And if you have the app just touch the volume knob icon. Then adjust guitar volume and overall volume to taste

Yes you need a Mkii or when there out the fbv3. Also on the fh1500 forum I put the details on how to use the looper it's not user friendly with the Mkii

That's the nature of the beast with the Mkii short board. From preset switch to preset. It doesn't take in account of pedal position till you move it. Might change with new fbv3. On the other hand while playing out live I brought my volume down and next song forgot to bring up the volume pedal but volume was there so it kinda saved me by forgetting.

No you don't need the app open. Just Bluetooth connected to Fh1500. You can control your music volume thru your iPad or android. Now if you are playing your guitar thru it, you want the app open to be able to adjust guitar volume vs overall volume of music.

Oh, another thing the fh1500 does better.... It's user friendly with different FOH boards phantom on off it doesn't seem to effect the xlr line out tone. My helix was a mess line out with phantom power on at board had to have phantom power blocker etc.

Yeah! That's what I've been preachn on this forum from the beginning. This fh1500 sounds better and is way more user friendly on stage then my helix ever was. Not to mention you can stand and edit and use it as a monitor, etc. oh, and no back white hiss noise if phantom power is turned on at board. Killer tone!

I should of been clearer in my above post. I had two helix's. But not at the same time. I was one of the first to get one. That one was returned due to one of the knobs working erratic. The second one I put countless hours of my own sweat and others bought sweat and tears and just couldn't fine what I wanted. I just didn't want to buy endless monitors to find that elusive tone in my head if there is such a thing. So I moved on. I'm sure the helix is working great for others who have been lucky to find the right frfr system, but the whole idea of the helix was to plug and gig. What I read here and my own experience playing live with the helix is you ended up schlepping more gear than you did with your normal rig to sound good.

Fbv3 is not out yet till mid April. I have had one on preorder since they announced it.

Yes it works amazing, better than my acoustisonic! I run my Taylor thru it. I have a dedicated preset for my acoustic. I have a a/b box, electric in a and Taylor in B. The cool thing is Amps and cab combos work great then pick you fx and your off and running

Hmm. Mine updates every time. Never tried factory reset. First time was from iPad with amplifi app. Using Bluetooth. Does your amp turn on? Can you couple it thru your Bluetooth and stream music? If you can find someone with an ipad or iPhone try install app first then update FW with iPad . Takes longer but should work. The other thing is did you install the updater on your computer first. Then download FW and other stuff? If not it has to be something internally wrong.

MAYBE GUITAR PLAYING ISNT YOUR CALLING! What an arrogant statement if you can't coax good tones out of a processor. Maybe it's just some guys aren't nex gen interface gurus. Wow!

I partially disagree with rrmark. Yes it does take a lot of working helix knowledge to coax good tones out of the helix. But, the biggest part IMO, is what frfr/amp etc nightmare combo's to get those good tones to come out. I had two helix and returned both. I went thru endless hair pulling out nights with countless monitors and the like and could not get what I Needed it to sound like, and I had GD DOWNLOADS etc. I now have a firehawk 1500 and tone wise and ease of use just sounds great on stage and thru FOH. To tell you the truth from my perspective better than the helix. Use your iPad standing up, yeah not bent over, not on a desk not using your feet to adjust parameters. Tones are great thru all those speakers in front on the fh1500 and it transfers almost seamless to FOH. Oh did I mention you can feed a line back into it for your band monitor, with its own volume control. Cheers

Ok, guys here's the short of it, there is no need to schlep extra items to your gig, helix or otherwise. This amp stands alone as one of the best sounding user interface friendly amps I have ever played. I now have been gigging out with this since I purchased it, and I'll pat my self on the back. I was one of the first. No disrespect to those trying to get their helix and the like to sound good thru the endless search of the right amp/monitor combos. Just run this amp on its own. And in a band mix it's stellar. What more do you need it's a great modeler, and an amp and a monitor if needed all in one. Plug your Mkii short board in or better yet the new fbv3 and a million presets at your feet, ok maybe not that many but enough. :-)

So here's the weird thing. I have a amplifi 150 and firehawk 1500. If I stream music to both at same time every so often my amplify cuts in and out, but my fh1500 never cuts out? Both have latest FW.

I just hope that the FW updates come out as quick as the helix FW does and were not left in the dust

I think you have yo save it. Then when you switch back it will be there hopefully. Do notice that global eq must be turned on each time you turn on fh1500 and iPad. It always defaults to off. I'll check mine to see if switching to floor or wall acts odd.

I think you would need an a/b box to Send a Signal to both. But you would have to run one dry and the other with fx or you will get a weird latency problem between amps even with same exact preset. There also might be a cable splitter for controlling presets changes to both amps via your Mkii short board but this is all theory.

You push the Bluetooth blue lighted button on top. It will flash quicker. Then hold same button down a second or so. Sometime it takes one or two try's the light will go off and now nothing can hookup to it. Then if you need it just press it and blue light will come on, from there recouple your Bluetooth on iPad. Light solid- Bluetooth coupled, light blinking -searching to pair, light off- Bluetooth off.

Played out with my amplify 150. First off bring you iPad to help tweak tones for room, then shut it off and turn off your Bluetooth on your amp. This keeps you secure and your preset switching is much faster with your Bluetooth off and not connected to anything. Then if needed mic your center speaker the rest on the amplifi speakers don't really come into play that much if at all with guitar, mostly when streaming music. I run my mic an inch or two from center and slightly off axis. Cheers

You should of just used th fh1500 on its own. I use this out from Rockn worship bands to my cover band. Playing out live with this is a blast. I found the helix to be to quirky and alway in search of the perfect frfr is there is such and animal. But with that said good luck on your quest, that we're all on......
