  1. Yeah, that would be too easy. And awesome as well. I wish, I wish......
  2. I think it is a hardware issue. The apple's have better signal processing hardware, so they can slow the song to half speed, without changing the key, and feed it to the amp. Android hardware doesn't (as a rule) have the heavy metal necessary to do this. Implementing it in software would be painful...
  3. Use the USB interface. I imagine that most studio decks must have a USB stereo interface, no?
  4. If this is built like much hardware today, perhaps the control panel comes down to a ribbon connector that plugs into the internal circuitry. Maybe your ribbon connector (picture a keyboard on a laptop) has come loose? You could take it to a factory authorized repair center, but I would open it up myself and make certain nothing has come loose inside. Just be really careful not to mark up the screws, so it still looks pretty...
  5. if it is crackling without a guitar plugged in, then perhaps you have noise in your A/C line that is making its way into the amp. Do you have a UPS you could try plugging your amp into, then the UPS into the wall, and see if the crackling diminishes? Many companies sell power line filters to remove AC noise, but many times a UPS filters well enough to see if that is a problem.
  6. does it crackle without your guitar plugged in? And does it crackle with your guitar plugged in and you touch a finger to the mounting screws on one of your pickups?
  7. I've got a 150, and even without a define handle on it, the 35 lbs is so easy to move around. My prior amp was an ART 815 Bluesmaster, a 2x12 combo amp that weighs around 95 lbs. Not so easy to move around...
  8. Nothing wrong with snarky, if that's how you're feeling! I do the same thing, play with the effects, until I get it to sound like I want (or don't). But I've always been a documentation nut. Everything I buy, I read the manual, then hook up/assemble/turn on the device, play with it, then read the manual again to see if I missed anything, or to get that 'ah ha' moment now that I know what they were talking about. I'd just like to see that. I can certainly live without a manual, but I love 'em so! :-) Have a great day!
  9. I like the list, but I wish the effects section went into greater detail on what the controls for each effect are.
  10. Have you tried running it against your Amplifi with a USB cable?
  11. We ALL think it should be available. I'd much rather have my netbook connected to my Amplifi 150 through a USB cable than a bluetooth connection, which is subject to all kinds of interference. I'm old fashioned, I like wired connections when it comes to things that HAVE to work.
  12. You wouldn't think a damned piece of wire could make a difference. You probably had a bad solder joint at one end or the other, or a crimped connection gone bad...
  13. I use audacity and my Amplifi 150, and it works like a champ. It sounds as if you have other problems, since you say that Magix Music and Audacity have the same problem. You mean, right, that you are NOT using the amp, but just those 2 programs? Then you have a computer problem, it sounds like.
  14. Could you explain this better. You mean the tablet says it is connected to the amp, but the amp just sits there, not responding to anything the tablet tells it?
  15. You have to save every custom tone you have created to your personal cloud, they show up under My Tones on the App. I just make certain that all my custom tones are always in My Tones, not just on the amplifier.
  16. You need a footswitch, or use the app. I use the app to set up my sounds, and the footswitch to move between them when playing.
  17. You need a footswitch. The amp only lets you switch between the 1st 4.

Sorry, I'm an Android kind of guy....
  19. Thanks very much. I didn't know that was a feature. I like it!
  20. How do you turn off Bluetooth on the amp? I haven't seen a setting for that anywhere!
  21. I wasn't thinking about 'hacking' per se, but just the problems everyone encounters connecting to the amp via bluetooth. 90% of the time, I have no problem. But you know, live, when you need to tweak it, you can just about guarantee it won't connect. So I take no chances, set up all my combinations of sound I want ahead of time.
  22. I've used it out a few times, and i would never rely on the bluetooth when I'm live. I use bluetooth in the quiet of my home to setup the sounds that I like and assign them to the different preset locations. Then live, I switch through different presets, and turn effects on and off, using the pedalboard. It works great. And I've had no trouble with volume playing with drums, keyboard, bass, and singer.

you either have to connect a FBV Shortboard Mk II to switch presets, or lean over and push the little button on top of the amp.
  24. Yeah, that's a common request. I wish they had a pc app as well.
