I have OS High Sierra 10.13.3

So I wanted to update my Helix floor unit. I downloaded the latest HX edit update but when I go to "create backup", HX Edit unexpectedly shuts down. I tried uninstalling HX Edit and installing HX edit 2.30 but the same result happens. I'm using a MacBook Air and after HX edit shuts down it gives me the option to "report" it but it sends that to Apple. So this may be a computer issue... I don't know... any advice? Thanks

Well I got the short-cut out of finder and into the trash bin on my mac... but I don't think it is completely uninstalled. I don't see it being a problem. I just didn't like seeing 2 different versions on my computer. Thanks for the input everybody... I obviously didn't read far enough to see the uninstall recommendation during the update lol oh well

I just updated Helix and everything went fine. However, I noticed the new Helix Editor updated with a new shortcut and icon but my old Helix editor shortcut is still on my desktop also. Is there a reason for this? Am I ok to delete the old HD editor? just wondering... thanks

Hey I'm a proud Helix user and am very interested in the Shuriken and was just wondering if we might ever see the Shuriken with different woods or finishes?

Just looking for recommendations on what is a good speaker to plug directly into with the helix for example signal chain guitar into Helix direct into powered speaker. Whether it be for a small gig or just practicing at home. Thanks

The original pod and flextone had a cool "delay swell" effect where the note would sound and delay after the note was struck... Anyway can this effect be achieved with the new swell effects from the update and if so how? thanks

So I'm new to Helix and am digging this unit but I just watched a you tube video on how to create snapshots. I've got the latest firmware and can see the camera icon on the top right helix screen. I've been able to go into global settings and get into snapshot mode but I noticed that once I had started setting up a preset, I wasn't seeing the snapshot camera icon on any of the foot switches. Why is this? What am I doing wrong? Thanks...

no I just didn't realize they were wav files... own hammer support cleared it up for me... I've since just uploaded a ton of them so I got it to work... thanks

Is there a video link that someone can send me to help me first identify, then import a newly downloaded IR into the Helix? I purchased a couple of IR packages but am struggling with identifying and importing them... thanks

I'm noticing when I use the on board expression pedal that there is a squeaking noise when actuating the pedal. How can I fix this? Could I use Deox IT or some other cleaner or lube? Obviously I don't want to damage it. but the noise is annoying...

ok so I had success in registering my Helix on the L6 website and I was able to download the latest firmware update. I followed the directions to a "T". However since I just bought this Helix and it's used, I don't have the Helix edit software and couldn't figure out how to download it. License Manager only recognizes my laptop as "authorized" but with the Helix connected via usb it doesn't recognize the device... What am I doing wrong?

So I just bought a Helix. It's used but in pristine condition. So my first question is about expression pedals. I already have an extra line 6 expression pedal but I was wondering if my ernie ball volume pedal would also function as an expression pedal for helix? just wondering... but my main question has to do with connecting to my lap top. When I connect the Helix via usb cable to my laptop, my laptop doesn't recognize it. So I can't register it with the license manager or with Line 6 Monkey. More importantly I won't be able to download and use the edit software. Is this normal and do you have any suggestions? I have a MacBook Air, for the record, and when I had the pod hd500x I had no problem connecting...

So I sold my pod hd500x recently because I'm saving up for a Helix. However the buyer said he couldn't get the HD Edit software to work on it. I had no problem with it when I owned it. I checked and it is no longer registered as one of my devices however it was still authorized in license manager. I attempted to de-authorize it but it just says de-authorization pending... I've also deleted the hd edit software from my computer. What else can I do to help my buyer with this problem?

I recently sold my POD XT and the buyer contacted me asking if I had ever "initialized" it. Not sure what he means but it seems he wants to restore it to it's original settings and is having no luck. Any suggestions?
