  1. I recall the ColorDrive settings to be almost "stock", meaning I just drop'd the block before the Ratatouille and that was it.
  2. Thanks for the feedback - I don't have that setup I could try and I'm not even at home so I definitely couldn't tested it :) I guess the way an integrated amp FX loop (like I have) behaves differently from an external one. I guess others in the same situation can chime in :)
  3. I don't have the values present right now... but I can check them and let you know. It gives a really sweet distortion, very Gilmour-esque.
  4. I think you can use the 4 CM but like this: Guitar -> HX Effects In HX Effects Send 1 -> Marshall Head input HX Effects Return 1 -> Bad Cat Unleash FX Loop Send HX Effects L Output -> Bad Cat Unleash FX Loop Return And you need a FX Loop block on your signal path on HX (left -> what you want to amp pre (od's, ds')); right -> what you want on Bad Cat FX Loop (delays...)) Have you tried this?
  5. Yes! Forgot to mention that I use the Ratatouille as well!
  6. I use the RAT block on some songs on my Pink Floyd tribute: what I do is put a ColorDrive (legacy) block before on the signal chain - it removes all the harshness from the RAT and I can get pretty sweet tones.
  7. For me it's always Preset/Snap -> I want to be able, on bottom row, to change snapshots as these are used on mid-song (so I need them to fire quickly). Once the song is over, I can change the preset on top row (or iterate thru banks if needed).
  8. I submitted this idea: https://line6.ideascale.com/c/idea/85638 I searched and didn't find any request that was exactly the same so I created these new idea. See what you guys think :)
  9. Perhaps it's some software issue that, no matter the setting always assume "OFF" for the tap LED? Have you tried resetting the all unit (factory restore)? Of course make sure you have a backup so you can reload your backup later (or all your presets will be lost).
  10. I might be understanding wrong but - it seems to me that, as soon as you reload your backup, the noise appears. This points me to something on your backup settings. Have you tried recreating one of your presets by hand on a "freshly" reset'd unit? Same blocks, signal path, etc to check if there's any noise? If not - then it surely must be something globally configured that your backup haves. Did you take note of any differences between your backup global settings and reset's unit?
  11. My personal experience: I once tried connecting the Helix directly to my amp FX loop (thus bypassing the preamp), using the Helix amp models and no cab block. I didn't liked it - BUT this was just an experiment I was making and didn't spend much time figuring out. Just listened to it, didn't liked it and got back to my usual mode to connect things. Perhaps others can elaborate on one method vs the other - just to give you my personal experience on this :)
  12. Well if you're getting the hum on both LT and Digitech, then the problem is not the Helix (and for that matter also not the Digitech!). Did you use the same cables to connect pedals and the multi effects units? I also had a problem with one of the cables connected to the FX Loop of the amp.
  13. The "noisy loops" seems be some kind of issue with your presets. You stated that, after factory reset, the noise was gone and when you reloaded your presets the noise return. So I'm thinking that must be some kind of issue on how you build your presets. Have you tested/tried all potential noise issues? Guitars, cables, amp (if you use an amp), outlets, ground issues...? For me, one day, at a gig, the amp started with an annoying buzzing coming from nowhere... once I put the Helix ac cable on the same outlet of the amp ac cable, the buzzing was gone. Hard to pinpoint the issue.. even if you attach one of the presets, unless someone haves a RJM pedal to try, it will be hard to reproduce the issue.

Yes totally agree with @rd2rk! I have a OD/DS pedal that haves a input impedance around 230K and it only sounds good on Helix input (sounds harsh and thin in the loops).
  15. This post reminded me a previous gig - the amp was buzzing as soon as I connect a cable to the Helix. I though "damn, something wrong with the Helix, I tested at home and it was nothing like this"... after changing cables, etc etc I just moved the outlet from the Helix and connected to same outlet where the amp was... buzz was gone, silent as it should! Connecting Helix and amp in the same outlet circuit prevented the buzz and humming. Don't ask me the technical of this :) It just worked!
  16. Probably you already tried this but I should ask anyway: did you configured the bypass state of the amp block per shapshot? Meaning : enable clean amp on snap. 1 and disable the high gain amp-> save the snapshot; disable clean amp on snap. 2 and enable the high gain amp-> save the snapshot. Have you done this? Oh and welcome to the family! :)
  17. I actually prefer it shows in "flats" - its easier when I use (in a particular project) the guitars tuned a half-step down... so I always see "E", "A", "D" with the just the appended "b", which is more familiar/instant to recognize the string I'm tuning.
  18. Wow thanks for taking your time to gives us a tour on your setup. Really nice setup and workflow you got there. :)
  19. Oh yes!!! Amazing help - so I just need to increase the block level by + 3db? Meaning I can put the Lvl on the block itself (delay, chorus, pitch) at +3 db? Is this a "clean" boost, meaning it increases the overall volume or just gives me "more" delay?
  20. Many thanks for all the input. A question: even though I put the delays on Path 1B and just merge the signal before the output - if I put the mix to 100% it loses volume? On my head (from using the G-System in the past), if I have the delay in parallel with 100% mix, it maintained the signal volume and just add the wet delay to the mix without losing volume. What I'm doing wrong and what's the best pratice for this?
  21. Thanks for the feedback on how that turned out. Glad to hear everything is working. I also performed the update to 3.5 and didn't experience any failure on the knobs.
  22. Thanks. I thought that was the case but there are some US sites that, according to our location, prevents purchases.
  23. Is it available for non-US residents? Can I buy the e-book from Sweetwater or there's some kind of region restriction to US buyers only?
  24. Hello and welcome to the forum. It's very unlikely for any Line6 team member/staff browse these forums and take note of requests. Is best to post your idea on https://line6.ideascale.com but, first do a search to check if someone proposed the same and just Vote on that (it will have better chances of getting the feature instead of multiple posts on the same request).
