  1. Hey all, So this weekend my HX stomp's rotary encoder #2 (of 3) went bad. The switch mechanism either gave out or was crushed internally, not sure. However, it stopped receiving button presses on encoder 2 under the screen. Long story short, I spent hours looking up posts, parts, sites, and came across what seemed like a compatible match. I soldered in the part a few moments ago and it works like OEM! I hope this helps anyone looking for the part. With ALLL that said, I can't guarantee that his works for the Helix as it does the HX. I've taken apart both units a few times for maintenance, however I just can't recall what was in the Helix Floor. Likely the same part. Here's the info: Digi-Key Part Number: PEC11R-4015F-S0024-ND Manufacturer: Bourns Inc. 2. Hello, Does anyone know where i'd be able to get an XPS-AB or an XPS Mini, I cannot seem to find any listed anywhere
  3. Does anyone know what sort of tweaking i would need to do and what inductor to use in order to get the chrome custom sound in my v845? i also have a cry baby standard i could use for some part swapping if needed. thanks in advance just in case i miss you.
  4. Hi to fellow Variax users in Australia. I am wondering if anyone is interested in taking "excess to my needs" stuff off my hands? All fully functional. Usual wear and tear as to be expected from 2nd hand parts.... I have a 300 and a 600 neck, body, and leftover electronics after transplanting into Strat copies. I have complete bridge/piezo assemblies, as well as a couple of spare, new piezos. The fretboard on the 600 (maple) is more worn, as it was my "workhorse" for a few years, but still plays ok - a fret dress will see more life out of it, but fret replacement is looming. The 300 (rosewood) fretboard has much more life left in it. Also I sanded back the neck on both of them to make them more comfortable in my hands, i.e. "non-sticky". Other bits n bobs include the tremolo springs and claw (600), and vol/tone knobs, pickup selector knobs. All other parts were used in the transplants obviously, including the "bank selector" knobs. I posted an ad on a Facebook page for Guitar/Amp Buy/Sell in Sydney, but no interest was piqued, so I though I'd put it up here. If you're interested, please private message me and ask questions/make an offer on any or all items. Pictures available to those interested.... I live an hour or so north of Sydney, on the central coast, and pick up is preferred, though local delivery/meet up is possible within reason. Thanks for looking!
  5. Finally opened up my Helix to lubricate the pedal... ...and found that one of the shoulder washers (the cylindrical ones that go around the bolt, with a perpendicular flat section) had actually broken. Where the heck does one get replacements for it? I don't even know what precise size it is as it seems to be metric, so I can't just order it online. And FullCompass does not have them. Help!
  6. I have two Variax JTV-69s, early 2010s, both out of warranty. Variax#1: The Virtual Capo "wheel" stopped working for "model" and "normal" settings. Works for all others. Variax#2: The 5 position switch started intermittently working, then not when using standard pickups in humbucker position. Just this week, the 4th and 5th positions stopped working altogether when modeling is engaged. I suspect it's a bad switch. Tried using contact cleaner to no avail. Line 6 directed me to full compass for parts a while back. Both parts were on back order til end of January. Reached out and found out today these parts are now discontinued. Does anyone have these parts for sale from a harvested or broken JTV-69? From what I can tell, it looks like a snap together repair, or quick soldering at worst. I've repaired my own guitars for years and I'm very tech savvy. I need my guitars for live and studio, so I'm willing to try my hand at it first before relinquishing my guitars to a repair center that's well over an hour away for an indefinite period of time, plus the expense. Thanks!
  7. Replacing the rubber feet on the underside of my Helix and see that several have been scraped (from after the original feet wore down) so badly that the Philips heads are no longer functional. Anybody know what size the screws are? Would prefer to save a trip to the Home Depot with the corresponding frustration of trying to manipulate tiny screws into the thread gauge to size them.
  8. I'm looking for pars for my StageSource L2m's ... The electronics seem easy enough to find at third parties, but I'm looking for rubber and plastic end caps that are on the top and bottoms of the StageSource speakers. Does anyone one have a source?

  12. Hello, I broke my POD HD500X's display and I'm searching for a new display. I found a website called fullcompass.com and they sell lots of parts for Line 6 products but I couldn't find the LCD display for the POD HD500X. Is there a place where I can buy it? I don't live in USA and there's no Line 6 service center in my country. I want to buy a new screen online and then replace it myself, please help me... I'm going craxy with the broken screen. It's not a big crack but still... It bothers me. It kinda goes away though, when the pod is on for like 10 minutes, when I turn it off it goes back to this. Thanks in advance, please excuse my english.

  16. Parts Q: My X2 cable is lost/damaged. Where can I purchase a replacement? Line 6 Store: X2 Replacement Cable Q: I lost/broke an antenna on my X2 wireless receiver. How can I get a replacement? A:The X2 series uses a 900 mhz, ½ wave-BNC antenna. These antenna can be purchased from numerous audio-video or musical instrument retailers. Q: Why is my signal occasionally cutting out? A: Please check to see that your locking cable connector is screwed in tightly to the input jack on the transmitter. If not, this can cause your unit to either not get audio at all or cause the signal to cut in and out. Please see our updated manual on this website for a detailed diagram of the proper connection process. Troubleshooting The XDR4 rackmount receiver has an “RF” LED indicator on the front panel. With all transmitters powered “OFF”, scroll through the 5 channels on the receiver while viewing the “RF” LED. If this LED remains dark, then you can conclude that there is no undesired RF at your current location. If it lights RED, then there is RF on that channel. This typically does not lead to the conclusion that you cannot operate on that channel. It does indicate that there is RF present and that the range might be limited on that channel. “Drop outs” are often the cause of a bad audio connection. This can happen when the input jack is not fastened securely or when the input cable has broken down at the connector. You can visually confirm a solid “digital link” even without an audio input by powering on only one transmitter and receiver and monitor the 4 green “RECEIVER” LEDs on the XDR4 rackmount receiver. As long as one single green LED stays lit, then you have a solid link. I would confidently say that the system is working well if all 4 LEDs stay lit no matter where you go out to at least 100’ with little or no “dancing”. When they start to consistently dance you are approaching the outer edge of the operating range. This test is best performed with two people. Q: Power is on but no signal or there is an intermittent signal with sound cutting out with the XDS95, XDR95 or XDSPlus transmitter A: How far away from each other are the transmitter and receiver? You may simply just need to return to operational range. If the issue persists, you will need to replace the XC1 cable. Q: Power is on but no signal is getting to XDR95, XDS95, or XDSPlus Receiver. A: Remember to set the receiver to the correct mode and to set both the transmitter and receiver to the same channel. If you continue to have issues, replace the XC1 cable. Q: My XDS95 receiver / transmitter shuts down shortly after powering up A: If you are using batteries, try using a new set of batteries. If you are using rechargeable batteries, try a fresh set of alkaline batteries. If these issues persist, the XDS95 needs to be serviced. Q: My transmitter suddenly started producing a distorted broken up signal A: Replacing the XC1 cable would be the first thing to try, but if that does not fix the issue, the transmitter must be serviced for repair. Q: I have a buzzing noise on all channels of my receiver. A: First, make sure that the receiver is getting the proper amount of power from a compatible power supply, especially if the power is being shared with other devices. If you have active electronics on your guitar, make sure that the batteries in the guitar are fresh and power the guitar. If not, replace the batteries. Check your guitar jack to see if it is loose or shorting out and fix the jack as needed. Lastly, please remove/turn off any sources of magnetism (such as a computer monitor) that is close to the transmitter as this could be producing the noise in the signal. Q: I can only go 25 to 30 ft with my XDS95 before it drops out? A: If there is another transmitter on and set to the same channel nearby, then you would need to change the channel on the second transmitter. If there is another source of RF between your transmitter and the receiver, then you would need to move the source of RF. As a last resort, you can open up the back of your receiver and you should see 2 thick black wires soldered onto the antennas. If these wires are not soldered properly, the receiver needs to be serviced for repair. The following is a list of symptoms in which your Digital Wireless device must be serviced for repair: Symptom: I hear a "click" every once in a while when my XDS95 system is on but I am not playing? Symptom: One of the green receiving section lights does not come on even when the XDR95 transmitter is right next to the receiver. Symptom: When I power up my unit, all the lights stay on (Red or Blue) and then I cannot turn the unit off. Symptom: My XDT1/XDT4 transmitter burns up a fresh battery in 1 hour. Symptom: My XDS95 receiver does not power up with a 9v battery but it will power up on a power cord adapter. Symptom: My X2 transmitter does not power up with a 9v battery.
