Amongst others I have a 65 Amps Ventura and Divided by 13 CJ11 - along with my strymon / king of tone etc its the most amazing sound ever. That's for my own personal pleasure in the man cave. But for playing out in a band where nobody else notices or cares then it a Helix/Power engine 60/PA situation. Still very enjoyable but not the same

string sound will probably be best with a small swell into the note (volume pedal?) compression and liberal reverb no need for an IR Bass - pitch shift/octaver plus compression, possible touch wah add/or chorus again I question the need for an IR

I look at snap shot mode as the ability to have one pedalboard set up in 8 complete different states from simple on off of effects to completely altering the setting of each pedal I appreciate the 1 scene per song and that exactly how I used to work but now I have the choice of say fender plus pedals x 8 permutations on one press of a switch or bass amp with the same all good to be able to work how you want flexibly

Do the clap test clap in the middle of the room and that will give you a gauge of how 'live' the room is, also allow for people filling up the room will deaden it significantly depending how many there are

nothing I own has a name including my wife :)

I'm sure you could do that via the pedal message send I got it to up/down my timeline but didn't go any further

Yes - if you know how these things work No

I mentioned a problem earlier in the month about send/return to strymon dig where the signal gets dirty rather than the pristine delay I'm used to. No solution to date

can you track any CC or Sysex changes via clip launch like you can in ableton? That's how I reverse engineered my patch changes - though this wasn't for software

we use 2 guitars and 1 bass through 1 helix with separate effects chains works perfectly guitar in main input and fx in 1 bass in aux
-
yes this is exactly what I'd expect it to do

I've had something similar with my strymon pedals in the fx loop I mentioned this to the UK rep in PMT the other week who said it wasn't something he had come across but he only used od pedals in his FX loop. I have not resolved this to date

definitely doable Sum 2 paths to 1 yep easy I use just the compressor then some delay and perhaps eq

last few rehearsals I tried bass though markbass combo and then direct to PA - both sounded pretty amazing Also had one guitarist going through my helix into the PA - sounded epic too Great toy

Hi First post on this forum, generally loving the helix However trying to put the my strymon El Cap and DIG in the effects loop seems to show up a dirty return signal Anyone experienced this Particularly the DIG which should be pristine and its noticeably not I have the global send returns set to instrument- tried line level and that was worse Any help very welcome Cheers Lorne

you can choose in the set up which presets are affected by the expression pedal took me a while to discover this but relatively simple to find and alter once you know its there
