Missing Amps In Pod Xt Live, Not The Usual Problem
Triryche replied to Laer's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
The C++ suggestion was be trying to think of every last thing. It's a programming language and some of the Line6 software and/or drivers use it. I have seen weird issues (not necessarily with the xt series) when users did not have a recent C++ distribution. In one scenario a user's POD Studio had no inputs available in the Line6 Audio MIDI control panel. btw, this is the first I ever seen of this issue. -
If you have an old red guitar port, you likely do not have a plug-in license unless you purchased the license separately or purchased a Gearbox plug-in license in the past. The free demo version of POD Farm 2 has limited selection of amps/effects. But you can upgrade from Gearbox to POD Farm 1.12 for free, but it will not include the plug-in (unless you already had the Gearbox plug-in).

It is listed as compatible, but I know the drivers were buggy, not sure if they have got all the bugs out yet. But keep in mind for every one report you see in the forums, how many other users are having no issues, therefor they do not even post in the forums? If it were me I would make sure there is a decent return policy in case it doesn't pan out.

Eliminate Doubles From Presets Library
Triryche replied to rontowers64's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Did you previously have POD Farm 1? The typical default folder is: C:\Users\Your Profile\Documents\Line 6\Tones\POD Farm 2 Also check out Line6Hugo's response from this thread from the old forum. http://line6.com/support/thread/72299 -
Missing Amps In Pod Xt Live, Not The Usual Problem
Triryche replied to Laer's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
If you can get it to work on another computer then at least you'll know it's not the POD. I would try a different USB chord, and dufferent USB ports and make sure your computer was all the updates, if it's Windows make sure you have the C++ up to date. Also make sure you have current drivers for your computer, especially USB ports and chipsets. The only other thing I can think of is to try Gearbox instead of Edit. -
Line Inputs And Iphone?
Triryche replied to combsarchtops's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
On the UX1 you can not use the instrument or mic input in conjunction with the line inputs. To see what I am getting at in POD Farm try selecting different cominations of inputs for Tone A and B. There are a few work arounds. What DAW are you using? -

Everything you need is here. http://line6.com/software/ (also at the upper right of the forum) Install and run the Monkey to get all the latest drivers, firmware, ect. Then run the License Manager. -
Kb37 Mod Wheel For Sustain
Triryche replied to schotness's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
You should be able to do this in your DAW assuming your iVST/Sound module has a midi parameter for sustain. -

Cheap Sustain Pedal For Kb37
Triryche replied to schotness's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
I'm personally not a fan of Behringer, and I have no experience with this pedal. But it is cheap. http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHCS400 Have you tried tweaking the compressor in POD Farm? -
+1 to Zap. In Pod Farm you can assign what is being sent to your DAW. If you have the POD Farm plug-in a typical workflow is to capture the wet and dry simultaneously and then add the plug-in the the dry track post processing. Another technique is to double track (or more) your guitar and have variations of each track regarding amps, amp settings, ect...

Hello I Am Thomas Pfau

Which POD Farm 2.5? With a device? Software purchase? Free demo? -
Clipping from normal instrument level inputs will not damage it. Even very hot active pick ups will not cause damage.

Missing Amps In Pod Xt Live, Not The Usual Problem

Just for clarification, do you see the model packs in License Manager? Also, do you see your ESN in License Manager? (don't post it). -
Missing Amps In Pod Xt Live, Not The Usual Problem
Triryche replied to Laer's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Hopefully the guys at Line6 will help you sort this out. In the meantime, try unauthorizing the Metat Shop, then reauthorize the bundle on both computer and PODxt Live. What does License manager show for amount of devices authorized and lifetime authorizations? -
Xt Live Usb Driver Software
Triryche replied to petericeman's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
+1 to Zap. In the event you needed to download something outside of Monkey, in the drop downs there are 3 categories, Product, Software, and OS, specifying each one will render the most recent version of whatever you're looking for. -

So License Manager shows your Model Packs authorized to the PODxt Live and Monkey has green ticks for everything? What happens if you disconnect the USB cable and run the xt as a standalone? -

That is strange. Can you try to authorize it from another computer? Hopefully you won't hit the 10 lifetime max, if you do you can contact Line6 directly. (It should show you in the license manager) I would open a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html -
Try panning a little less than 100% LR. Are you capturing wet and dry simultaneously? If so, try blending in a tad of the clean guitar.

How are you monitoring your sound? Meaing are you using a guitar amp, computer speakers, studio monitors, ect...

Multiple User Accounts On A Mac
Triryche replied to Chalisque's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Not quite getting why you would need multiple user accounts, unless by projects you mean clients. Line6 did use a security dongle in 2 flavors, i-Lok, or your Line6 hardware, such as the Toneport. Many users complained about the hassle and restrictions of having to use their hardware as a dongle. So now there is Pod Farm 2.5 hardware independent. If they did not have some sort of limitation on the authorizations I could theoretically authorize 1000's of computers. They still have the i-Lok version available, but it is for plug-in only. -

I was cleaning up my yahoo mail last night, and found a boat load of post notifications from Nick, not gonna delete them.

The spam was ridiculous, and I think it might have been almost 6 weeks, seemed like 6 months. Sometime you would have to wade through pages and pages just to find a real post.
