I would imagine the majority of users that rely on their DAW for their bread 'n' butter will still run PT10 with all their plugs working just fine while they migrate. There was this statement from Line6 a while back: http://line6.com/support/message/322785#322785 You can submit requests/ideas here: http://line6.ideascale.com/

In the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel you can select what is sent to your DAW. Select the Inputs & Recording tab and from the drop down tyou can select "send clean guitar". This will send the "dry" guitar signal to your DAW. Although you are sending the dry signal, you will hear the processed signal though the PODxt. Then after you are done recording you can add the POD Farm plug-in. (You can actually do a hardwae re-amp with your PODxt but it's not quite the same as using the plug-in). The PODxt is a recording interface, since it seems you are a bit new it, it would be difficult to recomend another interface without knowing your workflow, budget, and needs.

No worries on the model packs then. If Tone Locker doesn't solve the issue try different USB ports.

Kb37 Toneport No Monitor Through-put
Triryche replied to wcmexbm's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
To monitor without your DAW you need to open POD Farm and select the proper input. Also, in your DAW you should not experience an unacceptable amount of latency. Make sure you are selecting Line6 ASIO KB37 as your device and that you have "monitoring" (may be called something else depending on your DAW) turned off. -
Depends on what your workflow is. POD Farm will not control or edit the PODxt, you would still use Gearbox. But if you purchase POD Farm 2.5 hardware independent (not i-Lok), you will be able to use POD Farm will virtually any USB ASIO device. You also get the plug-in, so you can add any of the tones in your DAW post processing, for me that is worth the price of admission. Also, with the plug-in or standalone you can use up to 10 effect per chain (for a total of 20) in any order. So for me a typical workflow would be to monitor the wet with the xt will capturing the dry, then I add the POD Farm 2.5 plug-in post processing.

Are you clicking "Tone Locker" in Gearbox? If you run Monkey do you have green ticks for drivers? ***Warning, if you purchased your PODxt Live 2nd hand with extra Model Packs, updating your PODxt may cause you to lose your Model Packs if previous owner did not properly "Gift" them to you.

I would start a new thread a describe the problem. We'll try to help you get it sort out.

My gut tells me there will be a decent AAX wrapper before Line6 makes PF AAX, pure speculation.

Unless you are mic-ing a real amp, if you use the HD as an interface, the playback or the recording via USB should sound virtually identical what you heard while you were recording. If it doesn't then there is something amiss.
-
I have no problems saving to the computer the DEP for amp and cab, regardless of whether or not I send the changes to the POD HD. What OS are you using?
-
Is there a reason you are not recording with the POD HD as your device instead of the Toneport? btw, which Toneport do you have?

Stand Alone Computer Recording
Triryche replied to nenic's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
The backing track is already recorded and/or imported, you typically would not want to record it onto the track you are recording your guitar onto. -
that reminds me of a kid I seen riding his bike past my house, with no lights, no helmet, at night, on a major street, the wrong way, with of course no hands, because he was texting. ....sometimes I just wanna slap the stupidity out of people

Ux2 Not Recognised By Mac Or Gearbox
Triryche replied to tacksharp's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Try downloading POD Farm 1.12, it replaces Gearbox. Monkey is utility to assist in updating the UX. Drivers are necessary for the UX to communicate with your Mac. -
Songs Done With Podfarm/toneport Units?
Triryche replied to jeff0633's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
You can still search the old forums, most of the songs are in the Lounge. http://line6.com/community/community/general_discussion/lounge?view=discussions&start=0 Sonic-wise Gearbox and POD Farm 1 are identical, however, Gearbox is not really soppurted anymore for the Toneports, there is a free upgrade to POD Farm 1.12, but if it still works for you than you're not missing anything as sound-wise. Gearbox is still the Editor for the xt and X3 series. -
Pod Xt - Which Version Do I Have?...
Triryche replied to Raydeeo's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
The reason I ask about the Model Packs is because if the seller included some, but didn't gift them, you will lose them if you try to update the PODxt. -
Pod Xt - Which Version Do I Have?...
Triryche replied to Raydeeo's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Do you mean Firmware Version? Also, when you purchased it did the seller include Model Packs? -
OK. Well just for the record, if you did sell it, will have POD Farm 2.5 attached to it, so no worries.
-
Not on the X3.

Pod Xtl Version 3 Update: No New Amps
Triryche replied to isleepwithchrist's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Did you purchase model pack in the past for your stolen xt? If so they should still be in your account and you need to run the License Manager. -
Are you sure it's not something in your signal chain after the mixer?
-
+1 to Zap. If you were using POD Farm 2.5 with the UX1, but never purchased a separate POD Farm 2.5 license, it will have POD Farm 2.5 anyway. Did you purchase a separate license?

If you are referring to the Octo Verb setting, then not really.
