  1. I haven't noticed this, but I will try to duplicate this tonight or tomorrow. If you send it to the POD HD then save it to your folder it still reverts back?
  2. Are you "sending" it to the POD HD after making changes?
  3. Cool!! Glad you got something workable, everybody's system is different even if the pc specs seem to be thge same. I'm sure you already know, but just in case, if you have VST effects on tracks already recorded, you can monitor them with the PODxt ASIO without engaging Cubase monitoring and should not introduce latency. And if you do run into problems down the road, you could monitor with the PODxt and dial in a tone close to what you want but only capture the dry, and then add your VST post processing.
  4. I would forget about trying to monitoring any VST effects on the guitar are recording in real-time. The "monitoring" form Cubase is what is causing the issue.
  5. Just for clarification, you have your headphones connected to the PODxt? Which track is the backing track? Becuase from your screen shot one track looks empty. Also, it's hard to tell but it looks like you may have "solo" engaged on both tracks, which shouldn't make a difference, but I would turn them off if they are one. (The "S").
  6. Are you recording the wet or dry signal? Do you have POD Farm or POD Farm 2.5? Do you have the POD Farm 1 or 2.5 plug-in? In POD Farm 2.5 if you are recording the wet signal you can control the level going to Reaper with either the "Channel" volume of any amp model or with the "Rec Send" faders in the mixer view. If you are recording the unprocessed dry signal there is typically no reason to control the level, unless you have super hot pups or an acoustic-electric with a built-in preamp in which case you would use the PAD input . If you do have the plug-in a typical workflow is to record the wet and dry simultaneously and the apply the plug-in to the dry track post processing.
  7. Do you have your monitoring solution connected to the PODxt Live? (speakers, studio monitors, headphones). Also, in Reaper make sure your are not muting the other track(s). It is the "M"
  8. I doubt they will add any new models, but I hope they release the HD algorithms in plug-in format. And if they do I really hope they don't have the "Farm".
  9. There is no direct way. I would try some of the other amps. Have you tried the Line6 Clean?
  10. Could be dirty pots or just vibrations. Check out this thread. http://line6.com/support/thread/20920
  11. +1 to Silverhead, the Monitor In can not be sent to your DAW. With the UX1 and UX2, you cannot mix Line Inputs with Mic or Instrument. So if you try to select a Line Input, the Mic and Instrument inputs become unavailable. However, you could run the mixing board to the Instrument, just watch the levels, and it will probably be easier to tame the levels with the PAD input. IMHO this is a decent 4-channel USB interface for the price. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Lambda/ My bro-in-law used this for his band for years before upgrading to an 8-Channel.
  12. Check the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel. I know for the PODxt there is an option to send only the unprocessed signal to your DAW, not sure if that option is available for the Bass PODxt.
  13. That New Coke scam wasn't funny. Coke was my favorite soda (until I quit drinking soda) and they came out with that new junk when I was a teenager delivering papers. I couple of corner store me and my friends frequented were kind enough to reserve all their old inventory for us. When that ran out I was going thru withdrawals. Luckily my prediction that they would bring back the previous formula under a new name came true. But I thought they were going to call it Original. But I get it, when you find your sound you've found your sound!! I personally was a bit surprised when the xt and X3 series were discontinued but not the FloorPod Plus or POD 2.0.
  14. Do you have a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter? If so, try plugging your guitar directly into your PC's soundcard via Line or Mic in.
  15. Yikes!! Not sure when I'll have a chance to swap out bundles, will try to get to it by Wednesday, otherwise I won't be able to until Sunday.
  16. OK, you got more things going on here than I originally thought and it is probably confounding the process of elimination. This is what you need to try. Guitar>>UX1>>Reaper For the UX if you are using POD Farm (standalone) have a signal path with nothing, no amps, no stomps, no reverbs, ect... In Reaper create new project and a new track and make sure there are no plug-ins whatsoever. Also in Reaper make sure you are selecting Line6 ASIO UX1 as your device in preferences.
  17. Sounds like you tried a lot to try and isolate the problem. I understand you hear it on a clean patch, but just to clarify, have you tried an empty patch? If you engage the tuner do you hear the same? +1 to Silverhead, is there a friend's computer you can try it on in another location? The sound reminds me of some funky noise gate settings. Like you have a gate teetering on the threshold followed by some modulation effect.
  18. I think aliens are sending you a message!! :o Do you hear this in headphone connected directly to the UX1 too? Do you hear the some thing if you have an entirely blank path in POD Farm?
  19. I'll check it out later tonite when I can access the clip.
  20. I can't currently dl the clip, but crackling/white noise is usually the USB bitstream being interrupted. Check out this doc: http://line6.com/support/topic/217-usb-audio-troubleshooting/
  21. +1 to Zap. The GP becomes your soundcard therefore you should connect your monitoring solution to the GP. The latency you are experiencing is your internal soundcard. You might want to invest in a mixer, that way you can easily switch between different input devices.
  22. Run the Monkey and make sure you have green ticks for drivers/flash mem, ect... Also, make sure you are selecting Line6 ASIO as your device in Nuendo. Do you have an older red-faced Toneport or a newer black-faced POD Studio?
  23. You are connecting your speakers/headphones directly to the Toneport? Try using POD Farm 1.12 (not POD Farm 2.5), it is a free upgrade from Gearbox.
  24. When you run Monkey do you have green ticks for drivers, flash mem, ect..? How are you monitoring your sound?
