Just for clarification, Monkey can not see it? If so, unfortunately it likely needs to be repaired. Do you have the means to check the power supply?

HD Edit does not process any sound. Trying to run the HD's sound through the computer's onboard soundcard is not the correct/optimal use of the HD. When using sending the sound via USB, the HD becomes your soundcard.

That does sound like a poor answer. In their defense, Win8 is sorta cr@p right now. Pooping Popping and clicking and bursts of white noise are almost always interruptions in the USB bitstream and the problem is hard to track down due to the gazzilion combinations of hardware in pc's. If you haven't read it already check out this doc. http://line6.com/support/topic/217-usb-audio-troubleshooting/ Also, I have seen users report some success by specifically disabling their Win8 pc's integrated soundcard and selecting the UX as your device. And for sound drop outs many times it is a WIN8 power setting.

Connecting A Floor Pod Plus To An Amp
Triryche replied to Lynntotteyvine's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
I doubt you offended anybody, and I'm sure plenty of people have connected their FPP into their Spider Valve II, they just aren't frequenting the forums. And like Zap I have no experience with your specific setup. Does the Spider Valve II have an effects loop? Can you disable AMP/CAB sims on the FPP? If so you could try throwing the FPP in the effect loop, this would bypass the SV's preamp. Or you could try and dial in the cleanest most neutral flat setting on the amp. -
You need to connect your monitoring solution directly to the HD. What OS are you using?

Regarding Sound Quality In Ux1
Triryche replied to keevre's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Yeah, if you get a chance post a clip or two. In the meantime, what are you monitoring the sound with? What DAW are you using? Does Monkey have green ticks for everything? -
I'm sure you know already. But just in case, when you install the driver you should not have the PODxt Pro connected. Then, during the installation it will prompt you to connect it to complete the driver installation. Windows might give have a dialog box stated the driver is unsigned, click continue with installation.

Input Gain And Mic Recording On Tonport Gx
Triryche replied to amireldor's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
@Rockbuster - You need your Line6 interface to run POD Farm unless you purchased a separate Hardware Independent POD Farm 2.5x License. @admireldor - Do you have POD Farm1 or 2. The reason I ask is the older Red Toneports typically did not come with POD Farm 2, unless you paid for the upgrade or it is was registered for the first time after a certain cut off date (I think Oct 2009??). Either way, tin the mixer view in the rec sends there is a +18 dB boost button. There are now software mic gains in POD Farm even for the UX1 and UX2 (with the exception of the +18dB boost). -
Are you mixing up POD FDarm Standalone with the plug-in, you can not select instrument or mic in the plug-in. If you launch POD Farm outside of Cubase it is the stand alone and you should be able to select Instrument or Mic.

Are you selecting "Instrument" in POD Farm? Cubase can not select the UX input, it can only select from the availble sends from POD Farm..

The sends are in POD Farm's mixer view. I haven't used Cubase in years, so it might be called something different. For example, in Reaper I select Line6 ASIO as my device and enable all 4 sends in the prefences. Then when I arm a track to record I have available mono input 1,2,3, or 4 or stereo 1-2, 2-3, 3-4. Clear as mud, right? So it may be Cubase names them something else.

You would not select mic in Cubase, you would select it in POD Farm. Also check you Sends in POD Farm's mixer view. And when you arm tracks to record make sure you select the correct send(s).

Have you tried different USB ports and cables? If you haven't already, submit a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/

I know it's a huge PITA, but you if you haven't already, you should submit a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/ My Windows 7 machine actually does that.

Yeah, that sucks not being able to tweak on the fly. I doubt it would help, but you could back up your patches and try reflashing.
