  1. Just for clarification, back or red "faced". Red-faced Toneports come with PF1 and black-faced POD Studios come with PF2.
  2. Is it a red Toneport or a black POD Studio?
  3. You are probably right. Not sure, it's been several years since I used PF2 with a non-Line6 interface, and that was with Win7, but I do not remeber having this issue. Do the input gains on the Zoom affect anything?
  4. Try downloaing the newest version of Monkey from the site.
  5. Make sure you do not have the +18 dB boost engaged on the sends.
  6. Assuming you're using a UX1 or UX2, turn down the output.
  7. Not sure. I only used GB as an editor for a PODxt and as a plug-in (the plug-in will only have L/R or Stereo as inputs from the DAW's track). I'm guessing GB with a UX2 enables Dual path by selecting one of the dual inputs from the dropdown.
  8. You need to enable a dual path tone. Click the Dual button.
  9. "Best" is very subjective. Reaper is a popular choice for a DAW and their forum is active. IMHO one of the best bang for your buck and free to demo. I use EZDrummer and Superior Drummer, but it can get a pit pricey for just starting out.
  10. Does sound like a hardware problem, without a valid ESN you won't be able to authorize add-ons. As a last resort you could open a ticket, but they will likely say it needs to be sent to a service center which may not be worth it.
  11. So Monkey recognizes FW 3.01 with the MIDI to USB cable? If so, try running the License Manager to authorize your PODxt Live. Also, if you haven’t already, you could try different USB cables and/or pc. If you still can't get the USB to work with different cables or pc's, it may be the USB post is shot.
  12. Just for clarification, how are you confirming that it is missing?
  13. Yes you can have mic and instrument, or Line1 and Line2. Where are you trying to access the inputs, POD Farm and/or your DAW?
  14. Got it!! So use that same patch in Helix Native using the Helix Hardware as your interface and sending the dry unprocessed signal to GB with monitors still connected to the Helix. It should sound the same, so If you still have poor quality sound then it is likely a GB setting. If it sounds great then it is the UX1 or setting with the UX1. I do not use GB, but maybe try unchecking the Reverb and Echo. Also with the UX1, are you using it in conjunction with POD Farm (standalone)?
  15. That's my point, when you run thru a PA or AMP you are not at the same loudness/monitoring conditions you have with GB and your CR3's. That is why I am suggesting playing thru GB and your CR3's with the Helix Hardware. Just give it a shot and see how your Helix (hardware) tones sounds thru GB and your monitors. Long story short, you need 2 sets of tones, recording direct at lower volume and cranked thru a PA and/or amp. The other important factor is the input signal Helix Native receives. If you craft tones with the Helix at low volumes for recording and use the Helix as you input to your DAW , Native should sound the same. If you use the UX1 it may or may not sound the same, depending on the virtual signal chain, especially regarding the impedance settings the UX1 lacks. 16. I would start by connecting your Helix to GB. If you are comparing tones at giggin volume vs nearfield monitors, that is likely 99% of the issue.
  17. May be a driver issue. Audacity does not support ASIO out of the box, although you can compile it to support ASIO. But I would recommend a DAW that supports ASIO.
  18. I'm guessing you are using a Mac. There is no ASIO for Mac's per se, it would be Core Audio.
  19. That's not a good sign. Get a decent set of USB-MIDI cables, the cheap one are hit or miss. This is one of the recomended brands: https://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Midisport-Portable-Interface-connection/dp/B00007JRBM
  20. Just for clarification, that is from the POD’s LCD?
  21. Without connecting to a pc, check what FW the POD has. You would only need a USB-MIDI cable if it is FW 1.x
  22. I’m assuming you are trying to use it as a VST plug-in within Reaper. POD Farm 1 and the red faced Toneports typically did not come with the plug-in version, unless it was first registered after a cut of date (not common). Before the release of POD Farm 2, PF1 plug-in was a paid license. You would need to upgrade to PF2 to get the plug-in.
