  1. I would call Line6 for an official answer. In the past the model packs were compatible with both PF1 and PF2. As for add-ons for vocals, I would see what you can tweak with the exsisting models. Some of the pre-amps may suite your needs.
  2. You might want to call or sumbit a support ticket to Line6 for an official answer. I think, but not 100% sure, that that purchasing just the upgrade will give you hardware indepenance.
  3. I suspect you are in the plug-in version and not the stand-alone. Can you post a screenschot?
  4. The asterisk indicates the patch has changed and not yet save. So something is changing the patch. Are you doing any MIDI functions?
  5. How are you monitoring the Helix? You should have monitors or headphones plugged directly into the Helix. It is possible to monitor with your laptop speakers but that is not optimal.
  6. In the drop down for All software there is POD Farm (with no 1 after it) that is what replaced Gearbox. Any model packs you purchased you own and will be able to use them with a GX, UX1, UX2, PODxt, and PODxt Live. The nice thing about PF2 it also comes with the PF2 plug-in.
  7. POD Farm 1 replaces Gearbox. The trial version you currently have is for POD Farm 2. Install POD Farm 1 and you should have any add-ons you already purchased. When you say 2nd channel are you referring to path B?
  8. You cannot select an input in the VST. The input is the track in your DAW you inseted the VST on.
  9. You're welcome. Just for clarification, another Line6 expert reminded me that the X3 will definitely have a PF1 hardware enabled license. But there may have been a promo with Line6 offering PF2 towards the end of the X3 product life cycle. But if you are pretty sure you were able to run the VST without the X3 it may be you do have a PF2 upgraded license. You can check here: https://line6.com/account/
  10. Not sure I ever heard of needing this to run the UX1. Either way you may need these for thing not related to Line6. Have you tried directly downloading and running the driver installer without using Monkey?
  11. The PF2 that comes with the POD X3 is a hardware enabled license. You would need to purchase a PF2 license if you want to use it without the hardware. Also, the X3 contains all the models packs.
  12. POD Farm standalone only works with other USB audio interfaces if you purchased a hardware independent license. You could try inserting an instance of the PF2 plug-in (using the Toneport as a dongle) in you DAW and just feed it the signal form your 1814, but depending on your computer there may be noticeable latency. Also, I don’t think a Firewire interface is supported with the hardware independent license. BTW, did you upgrade to PF2? The Toneports were typically PF1 where as the POD Studios are PF2.
  13. Did you just recently start having this issue?
  14. Is it a Toneport UX2 (red faced) or POD Studio UX2 (black faced)?
  15. You can also save tones individually to My Tones.
