  1. The Spider V interface is going to be limited. If you start stacking tracks and using more things like plugin's it would probably be best to get an audio interface for home recording that has specialized DSP and be less taxing on your system.
  2. Make sure USB switch on back is set to Mac PC Restart system and try again. Did you Install drivers before connecting amp? If not, remove the drivers, and reinstall before connecting the amp to USB.
  3. No area yet for Custom Tone. You can use the mobile apps to download presets uploaded to the tone cloud.
  4. I don't think so. You can just use the G30 like you do in any other amp. Once a cable is connected to the Spider Amp, it cuts off the receiver. You could try to switch channels to see if the G30 is picked up wirelessly. There was a post in the G series area that said one guitar player's G50 was being picked up by the amp (spidr V120) of their other guitarist. They had to start one up first, then the next amp in order for Spider V amp to not pick up the G50 G10T for the Spider V is just the transmitter. I would think any G10T would work with it if the G10 system bought as stand alone.
  5. No, but there are tons of audio groove sample loops and midi loops that you can use in Cubase or you can create your own with something like EZ Drummer and even some free software drum apps. http://www.orangefreesounds.com/category/loops/drum-loops/page/4/ Free midi drum synth: https://www.flstudiomusic.com/2017/09/meldaproduction-mdrummer-small-free-instrument-plugin-updated-version-7-02.html
  6. My understanding is the Win Mac app is more intended for users to have the app available while in their DAW or other computer based apps, but you would have to use the android or ios for cloud presets. There is no area at Custom Tone set up for Spider V afaik, but they may add one.
  7. Yes, the driver update is KEY to any problems. They should make a bold note at the Rem APP download link to also update the Win Drivers to the latest one below.
  8. G10T systems are auto channel. The unit auto hunts the best channel to use. It's not channel specific where you can set it. G30 can connect like any other amp though, so sure.
  9. D-load the latest driver. It's below the Spider V remote download. http://line6.com/software/index.html Select Spider V 30 Choose all software Choose W10 When it locates you will see Spider Remote, and beneath that will be a driver download. Try that! Seems to work for a lot of people
  10. Either that, or create an area in CustomTone for uploads and searches since this is a PC Mac app.
  11. Set up a customer support ticket. Line 6 can help you with your computer's specific issues.
  12. XLR levels will follow the amp's preset volume levels. Mine are juiced pretty good as well, but we adjust the mixer channel "Input Gain" which is usually the top knob or control on the mixer. On our band's XR18 mixer I set the input gain about until I ride about -6db on the channel. Some mixers have channel pads where they can drop the signal by 10 or more db. You could also try a pair of these: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/IMPpad20?product_id=IMPpad20&campaigntype=shopping&campaign=aaShopping%2520-%2520Core&adgroup=Studio%2520%26%2520Recording%2520-%2520Preamps&placement=google&adpos=1o2&creative=54989553361&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CjwKCAjwu7LOBRBZEiwAQtfbGEkHWAFfN6tqimzKvV3sQnYT1CEBBeNN6LTzw-uw_Z5xUmVmYbusORoCOuUQAvD_BwE
  13. You need your phone cable. The charger cable on my phone works fine. Some phones require an OTG (on the go) connector. None are bluetooth. There are PC/Mac editors now was well.
  14. I think so. Firehawk too. There might be some differences. Apps are similar too.
  15. Spider V is a modeling amp and has full range speakers. Modelers are made to tweak. You have to when you have cabinets, amp models, eq's, drives with EQ's. Prior versions of Spider's were not based on full range amplification. Models tweaked for a guitar speaker. That is what Boss did with Katana. That is what they did with BlackStar ID amps. I followed the video ideas on using parametric eq with Spider V. It helped resolve many of my sound tweaks. It's on Youtube. I posted the link here. Once you learn to use this in presets, the amp will really come alive. Katana is too one trick pony for me. I bought one. I Didn't like it. I won't argue about it. I needed an amp with all the versatility of the Spider V, or Amplifi. Spider V had all the options I need in controllers, and the built in wireless was the deal maker. My Spider V also has great sound from the XLR outputs to our pa board. That output is stereo and sounds incredibly full. We haven't really used my amp loud because we like the XLR out sound. It is much easier to work with our band, and we don't have loud amps mic'd we have to contend with. This way, it's more like my modeler, but it has the amplification that can get loud if I need it to. Spider V has a lot to offer to any player that needs the versatility and routing that I do. Here are links for eq use
  16. I don't think you can add custom backing track to the unit itself. You can play audio through the Spider V and your computer or from a phone / tablet via Aux..
  17. Check you have the latest drivers. They are on the same Dload area just under the Mac/PC edit software dload. Seems to solve a lot of problems.
  18. Works fine on W7 and W10 computers here. Did you try reinstalling? Maybe your DL was corrupt. May also want to check you have the new drivers. Those are listed under the Mac/PC edit dload.
  19. Are you certain there are not some zoomed in settings on your monitor? Looks like desktop icons are kind of big. Did you set the custom settings above 100%? Maybe try changing your personal settings on display to a default and open the editor afterward. I have also seen several different programs that may not scale properly to monitors with higher res. Unsure what you are using, but you can try to set your settings to standard 1080 and see if that helps. You may need to log a support ticket to Line 6.
  20. Strange. You are using the actual Spider V editor for Windows? The PC editor has a + and - button for viewing, plus you can size/scale like most any window. + button will provide full scale edit. Click + 2x and it should scale to any custom size last used.
  21. Do you have the OTG (on the go) adapter? Seems to solve more problems with Samsung devices
  22. I think the PC editor was more to give that option to users recording or editing presets. All the cloud stuff is based on Android and iOS sys, and AFAIK the only custom tone options are from the orig app as well since it works with Amplifi. What you can do for now until they add things to the PC Mac editors is use the orig app, Get your custom tones, save them to the amp, and then import them to computer editor. I know that seems like extra work but the original design seems based on mobile apps not PC/Mac. There isn't even an area on Custom Tone for any of the mobile app ready devices. Those are only available on mobile apps. I think I read the Spider V tones are most compatible with Amplifi or Firehawk, not previous versions of Spider amps.
  23. But you would still have to source them from a tablet. Those devices are not on Custom Tone. None I've seen anyway, but I could be wrong too.
  24. Not sure if I am overlooking anything, but in the past several months of using this amp for gigs I started to seek out a ducker delay. I can't find that option anywhere. The amp is packed with good delays so it's not a big deal. More like something you knew you may need and then couldn't find it.
