  1. This was the same as I did try to explain in my answer, but I can see my answer isn't so clear. :D I think the most guitarist using a JTV and a POD with amps have found the acoustic signal to be best with directly to PA. And of course, still use the electric guitar as before (to amps) There are several ways to setup this, but if you are like me I would like to have a option for both signals - electric via magnetic PU's to amps and acoustic to PA. Then you can set up a dedicated volume pedal for the acoustic to PA path. And have the 500x volume pedal to control the electric volume. This way, you can only rock your volume pedal if you want to add some acoustic sounds to your electric signal. And the other way around.
  2. Hi, I think the main issue is the amps. They are not designed to sound good with acoustics, whether real acoustics or a JTV :) You should try to directly to PA with your acoustic signal, this could be done in several ways with the HD500x. I'm not familiar with using real amps together with the HD myself, so I'll let someone else chime in on that. I would have sendt the acoustic signal out the FX loop to the PA, but this might already be taken in your setup.
  3. You could probably use this: http://www.sonuus.com/products_voluum.html
  4. So there is not quantization or other "new" looper functions then, besides placement. :) And stereo of course :)
  5. Are there any more details on the looper for Helix? Is it just about the same as the HD looper, or are there any improvements to it?
  6. Not "Helix II", you are thinking about "HelixX"? :D
  7. I don't care which model, just do a Matchless and a Dumble model and I'll bite. They are needed :)
  8. I was happy With my JTV-89, but the looks didn't do it for me. (just playing in my basedment, so didnt matter too much though) Changed it to a JTV-69 US now, which suits me even better. Same great sounds, but I like the chunkier neck and the strat look. The JTV-89 did need some setup though.
  9. Where? I've tried some of my coupons from Musicians Friend and Sweetwater, but they are not eligible for the Helix. Around 1000$ is +/- 10%
  10. Actually, I havent tried it :) It is connected to my DAW, which is Win8.1. I will probably upgrade to W10 on this as well, but when I know the Firewire is ok (I have a Tascam FW1884 as an audio interface which is Firewire based) So the X3 is just connected to my DAW, mainly used as a dongle for my Pod Farm. But I occasionally use it for bass (before I bought the bass pack for the HD) I can try to connect it to my Win10 laptop later, to see if it works :D
  11. I've used my HD500 with Win10 for months now, no issue what so ever. All builds have played nicely with the HD500 driver. I noticed yesterday that Monkey updated to a new version, with the only message "windows 10 support". (the earlier version also did work tough, but is now officially supported)
  12. Compressors look a little light yes, and still no autowah? :D Other than that: looks great!
  13. I'll be looking on it seriously when it is around 1000$
  14. They could size it up a bit, the original bean. And Call it: Bean XL? Big Bean? SuperBean? :)
  15. Thanks, will check them out. I'm the only one bugged by this? Another option is to put black covers on the single coils, of course.
  16. I've recently aquired the JTV-69 (havent received it yet - looking forward to it a lot!) and I think the humbucker stands too much out. Is it possible to put on a humbucker cover of some kind? I'd think one of the typical Gibson humbucker covers in chrome would look great - but have anyone done something similar? My two JTV-69 will be red With white pickguard, white singlecoils and black humbucker. The other one is sunburst With black humbucker and white single coils. (James Tyler - what did you think of???)
  17. They should :) The bean is the original POD :D But no, they only have the floor format and the rack format (With own floorboard) so far. You should put the idea to Ideascale.
  18. hmmm. might just sell it in Norway then - the 2nd hand prices here tends to be around 600£ :) I would love to keep it, but I have to get rid of some guitars at a point :P My wife would have me assassinated if not... I'm thinking of getting JTV-69 instead, since I'm more of a Strat guy. My older guitars have high sentimental value and low 2nd hand value. :D
  19. Hi, I'm selling my JTV-89 (black) and thought I should try to sell it internationally also. (eBay?) What would a suggested value be for the JTV-89? As far as I can tell, it has been replaced with the 89F and I also have seen that a few people prefer it over the Floyd Rose because of the (obvious) tuning stability as a hard tail bridge will give. It is in mint condition and does not have any dings or sctratches. Is 700€ a reasonable price? I dont find anything to compare it with on the european eBay sites. I'm in Europe, but as long as the buyer want to have it shipped I havent any issues with it.
  20. Is there a overview somewhere of the different combinations of colours for the different JTV's? I've been offered a black 69 (With humbucker, not S) and it has a rosewood fretboard. I thought it should have a Maple neck?
  21. Jesse Johnson is a Line6 fan I think :) I recently saw him in a D'angelo concert, he was using a white JTV-69. It seems he has another one also, see picture. Must be custom US? I like the colour of it
  22. :( I bought the Fully loaded pacakage it when it was available for the X series (I don't have it, have the HD PRO) so if I had waited just until it was available for me I could have done the same. Usually, preorder (with payment) before something is released is rewarded with a discount :P
  23. Seems it also has a Fishman tripleplay installed.
