  1. Does that trade deficit number include services or just goods? A standard Trump misdirection is to claim a trade deficit in goods while ignoring the overall trade surplus in favor of US when including services.
  2. You just need to make sure your signal levels are properly set. Your outboard pedal likely uses instrument level signals so set your HX FX Send/Return levels accordingly. No need to worry about A/D or D/A conversions.
  3. Send2 -> fuzz pedal Input / fuzz pedal output -> Return2. Place HX Effects FX Loop2 anywhere you want in your HX FX preset signal chain.
  4. For maximum flexibility in terms of placing your outboard fuzz vis-a-vis your HX FX blocks you could use the 2nd HX Effects FX Loop for it alone. The 2nd FX Loop would operate completely independently from the 4CM FX Loop.
  5. Using 4CM you can simply place your outboard fuzz pedal wherever you wish in the 4CM chain. You don't need to use a separate FX Loop for it. For instance, place it between the guitar and the Helix, or between the Helix FX Send and the amp Guitar input, etc.
  6. When the tuner screen is active make sure the Output parameter is set to Mute. Also check the Input parameter setting and compare with the physical inputs you are using in your preset.
  7. I find this a little ambiguous. I'm not at my Helix to test but I see two interpretations of 'whatever the guitar is set for': 1) the physical guitar setting in terms of model knob and pickup selector switch; 2) the currently active model. Note that these may be different. The currently active model may have been set by a previous preset that used the force mode to specify a model, different from the current physical guitar settings. I suspect the implementation uses option #2 because using option #1 would require Helix to essentially 'force' the Variax to perform a model change - from the currently active model to the model specified by its physical knob/switch settings. It seems counterintuitive to implement a 'don't force' command by forcing a change.
  8. I can’t help you with this. It seems like a problem with the file/folder. I suggest you open a support ticket. See link in my earlier post. Using this link enter the same information that you provided in your first post.

    How to reset?

Have him update to v2.82. Then create a backup of your system and send him the file. He can then do a restore and get all your presets and IRs (and global settings if he wants, or he can choose not to restore those). Make sure he he does his own backup before restoring yours.
  10. Experiment with the 500ms as well. You should be able to find a compromise setting that will allow you to use the trigger at some low value and higher timing that will let you use the very low position (down to 0%) wah effect for a duration less than the set timing.
  11. .... meantime you could set your on/off trigger to be 7%? I know you'll miss the very low end response for the Wah but it might be better than the current situation.
  12. Check with the seller of the presets to make sure they are made for the HX Stomp and get their help in loading the presets - or a refund.
  13. You're right about the HX FX being monophonic, not polyphonic.
  14. Check out the HX FX manual, page 9. It describes the 4CM setup. Expand your knowledge! After experimenting with this, and checking out all the FX models in HX FX, you may even decide you don't need any of your existing 4 pedals. The HX FX has alternatives to all of them. For instance, your Digitech Whammy pedal is directly modelled in HX FX. It's called the Pitch Wham. Try it out and compare it to your pedal. Similarly, try the HX FX Twin Harmony (based on the Eventide H3000) as an alternative to your octaver pedal. Experiment with the fuzz and distortion HX FX models.
  15. There are a couple of options here. 1) Is there some reason you want to use the mixing desk? For what you describe you could simply use the Helix as the audio interface to your computer (USB connection). This give you a lot of flexibility in routing signals to your system outputs (recording program, speakers/monitors). 2) You could use separate physical outputs from Helix to your mixing desk (XLR, 1/4", Send 1-4) and arrange your Helix preset to separate your computer playback and guitar signal processing using different paths and inputs (Guitar, Aux, Receive 1-4).
  16. Check out the Global Settings -> Preferences -> Snapshot Edits parameter. Here's a snip from the manual about it: Determines whether or not any edits made to a snapshot (block on/o , parameter control, Command Center, tempo) are remembered when returning to that snapshot. When set to "Recall," any snapshot edits are recalled when jumping from snapshot to snapshot, and appear as you last left them. When set to "Discard," any snapshot edits are discarded when jumping from snapshot to snapshot, and appear as the preset was last saved. If you want to save changes made to a snapshot while Snapshot Edits is set to "Discard,” press SAVE twice before selecting another. The camera icon on the home screen shows you the Snapshot Edits setting at a glance—When set to "Recall," the camera is gray; when set to "Discard," the camera is red. At any time, hold BYPASS and press SAVE to toggle this setting. Also check the Global Settings -> EXP Pedals -> Pedal Position parameter Determines whether the Helix expression pedal positions are recalled per snapshot, per preset, or applied globally. If you want a Volume Pedal or Wah to maintain its position when switching presets, set this to "Global."
  17. Does your amp have an FX Loop? If so, look into the 4CM setup. Also, your diagram shows you using 2 FX loops for 4 pedals with nothing between them. Why not just use 1 FX Loop and put the 4 pedals connected in series in the same loop? In that case what you want to do involves a very straight forward application of 4CM, with connections and signal chain as follows: Guitar -> Polytune -> HX FX Guitar In -> HX FX pre-Loop FX (e.g.compressor, EQ, ...) -> HX FX FX Loop Send -> your 4 pedals -> amp guitar in -> amp controls (drive, distortion, tone stack) -> amp FX Send -> HX FX FX Loop Return -> HX FX post-loop FX (e.g. chorus, delay, reverb) -> amp FX Return
  18. I've owned a Korean JTV-59 for several years now and it has never had a problem. Plays great. I changed out the frets (found the factory Jumbos too big) but the neck has been fine. I can't really comment on the difference with an American made but since you're not using it as your main guitar I think you could save yourself a lot of $$ and not sacrifice much in terms of quality. The audience sure won't be able to tell the difference - they use the same electronics.
  19. The one important variable that you cannot play with using stock cabs is cone/edge mic placement.
  20. Pretty sophisticated. Could take a while to develop an effective spam filter to block these. Meantime we should all avoid clicking on the sneaky links.
  21. But notice that the rest of the post is a copy/paste from an earlier post by phil_m.
  22. It's a just-noticed spam technique that is not (yet?) being blocked by Line 6 spam filters. It's been brought to their attention. The spam-bot is able to quote anyone's earlier post and edit it, placing the spam link inside the quote (in this case myfedloan). Very tricky!
