How to use the effects downloaded from custom tone?
BillBee replied to freakdsire777's topic in Tone Discussion
For the record I don't have a Spider IV but my understanding is you need a copy of Spider Edit (in the downloads area) so when you connect via the MKII you can edit tones (and upload them to the user slots). -
You are better off getting used to the PC editing TBH. The sounds are there but each rig is a bit different - guitar, amp, etc. L6 Edit is pretty easy to use but that said: Brit HiGain, Blackface 2x12 it needs gain and I liked the presence near full, eq to flavor. :) Fool around with the different cabs too as they can give some nice tonal variations. In the bedroom you can get away with less mids but with a band put them back in so you can cut through a bit more. There is a decent Lick Library DVD on the 2.0 and probably a bunch of YouTube vids.

Sweet - crank that puppy and rattle some glass. :)

Joel makes the best point. What is your rig and how is it set?
-
My back agrees with that. :-)

Hmmmm poor guy, just suffer with the DT50. :)
-
You need to try a safe mode reflash.

Comparing a 300 to a gnx4 is not quite equal. The GNX4 with the MFXSupermodels is a beast. To get an HD equivalent, minus the midi, start looking at the 500. Dual amps and flexible assigns.
-
You should fire up HD Edit and see what is in there. I never ran a bass through it so I can't say.
-
You know though, I like the full-amp models through a power amp/cab. So at least give them a shot. That Orange head is pretty sweet too btw.
-
Plug the HD right into the FX return of the head. Watch the volume as it will be full tilt.

LOL! The squeaky wheel get the burning oil nowadays. :P

Oooo Tubb.... well I suppose its easier to reinstall and choose those options. But try: start menu (lower left)->all programs->line 6-> GB? You could run a search: click on the start (lower left) should be a box there. But that is for windows.

Don't worry Braz, those "infra-structure upgrades" are part of our bills. but how much is needed before they start "upgrading" is the question.

Can't you right click on the .exe and choose create shortcut?

duoverb editor?
BillBee replied to compoundradius's topic in Flextone I / II / III / Duoverb / HD147
Ahhhh - here is sort of an update. I found a copy of the "Patch Manager" or at least the decade old cd has that sharpied on the front. I'll give it a test and see if its the elusive Patch Manager (I think I saw a movie with that title), try to install and if it is I'll try and get it going with the D'Verb. Stay Tuned. -B <edit> Yep confirmed working - nice interface too. So if there is anyone that needs it I'll post it. -
Good job and thanks for posting the info!! -B

Two things: 1/8 adaptors for 1/4 used to cause issues due to the length. Could be the reason you have to pull the jack back a bit. Second would be the jack or socket has some oxidation which a shot of DeOxit could fix. Just guessing mind you. -B

Outages -> from storms? If so I believe it. Our block "used" to go dark if someone sneezed. At the first sign of weather I used to go around clicking stuff off. I did scavenge an old battery back-up UPS I used for the pc and would plug the Pod into that. The UPS gave 5 minutes of beeping to save and turn-off your valuables. Thankfully, after the local grocery store's power kept going out too they repaired or tied into somewhere else. Lots of $$$ were thawing - good manager's specials though. :)

Those puppies can throw out some heat. Prior to picking up a Spider Valve - I ran into a couple of people who swear that putting a heat sink on the processor stopped the random issues they were having.
-
You have to "hold the tap tempo button down". Step 1 would be to make sure your tap tempo button works. They use multifunction controls because they work save space and $ (to keep the price point lower). -B

If the problem persists it should go in for service. If it runs on a cold start but starts misbehaving after warmed up it very well could be a failing component or a bad solder joint. Those puppies generate a lot of heat in an enclosed space.

Ahhhh simplicity, at times I do find a certain amount of comfort in that term. :)
