All right guys, There are a couple of pictures and diagrams floating around that show the Helix connected via MIDI to a keyboard. Just because I'm the kind of guy who has to test the limits of things, could you actually fudge a working keyboard/synth sound with the Helix? Obviously you'd be able to use the keyboard to have a bunch of MIDI presets on recall real quickly (one per key on the keyboard), which is helpful. But how far down that rabbit hole could you go? Could I lean over mid-set and whip out some mad synth lines? Because, at least the way I see things, any chance I have to not travel with a keys player is a chance worth taking :P

I'm using Helix Native through Presonus Studio One and Reaper and I'm wondering is there a way to key-bind snapshot changes to a keyboard so it's more convenient to use while playing live. I'm not interested in automation, etc, just simple click and change the snapshot functionality. I don't have any MIDI devices available except from virtual midi keyboard in Reaper or QWERTY keyboard plugin in Studio One. I'm a total newbie in a MIDI world, btw. Thanks

Hi my name is Benjamin. Recently I purchased a POD Studio UX1 and set it up all properly, authorized it and got latest drives and everything. I used it with my guitar and Pod Farm 2.5 and it was amazing. I want to record my keyboard. It is a Yamaha DGX-640. Basically I have found out to record the actual sound you have to use the two line inputs at the back of the interface. So today I went and bought a 1/4inch jack male to 2 1/4inch female jacks splitter because the keyboard only has one jack. I plugged 2 1/4inch jack cables into the splitter which was connected to my keyboard and the other ends connected to the line inputs on the UX1. I also plugged in my headphones through the direct monitoring port. Basically no program including Ableton live and audacity picked up the sound, and I couldn't hear the keyboard through direct monitoring with headphones as well, all I could hear was static... I'm not sure what I am doing wrong? Should I have gotten the actual cable and not the splitter or? Please anyone help because I would absolutely LOVE to record my keyboard in HD quality. Thanks Ben. :)

Hello, so I recently bought an HD500x, which I use as an audio interface for my speakers, and mainly to record stuff with my guitar (mostly for guitar covers). But, I've got an M-audio keystation 61es, so my question is, can I use this as Midi through the HD500x to record stuff with, and can I use HD500x presets for the keystation, and if so, how do I do this? Because I want the sound from the keystation to come from the same speakers as my HD500x (my guitar, spotify, all that). I would also like to get other effects and stuff out of it, instead of just the regular piano. And IF this is NOT possible, do you guys have any suggestions of software that can do this? Thanks.

I have an extremely weird problem thats been going on for a while but is getting worse. I practice by connecting my M-audio keyboard to garageband. Garageband then outputs the sound to my UX2 which then connects to a PA system. The problem is that sometimes (or very often recently) a large pop goes of and once the pop goes of the keyboard still has its blue lights on to show its connected, but playing it doesn't do anything. Here's the weirdest part; if I turn the keyboard on and off it starts to work but the sustain pedal starts working in reverse! No matter how many times I turn it on and off, whether the pedal is depressed when I do this or not, the problem remains. The only way to solve it is to wait maybe 20 minutes or unplug and plug back in the UX2! Its strangest problem and I don't know what is causing it. The keyboard requires no drivers and all mu UX2 ones are up to date. Please could someone make some suggestions as to what the problem might be?
