  2. I seem to have misunderstood the problem. I use a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20. In the Windows Sound app I've disabled Helix, and set the 18i20 as the DEFAULT device. Regardless of whether I'm rebooting, reconnecting, or simply switching devices, Helix only takes control if it's enabled as the DEFAULT device. Is your Audiobox set as the DEFAULT device?

  3. Huh, this is how I always did it before. There's also the option to change your current sound device from that speaker icon menu right on the taskbar. Not sure if that works any different/better.

  4. Yes, I realize you're talking about the HX. Even if you use both fx loop blocks in a preset, that still leaves you with 7 blocks, which still gives you quite a lot of options. I think what you're talking about would probably require quite a lot of work from a development standpoint and wouldn't offer a lot of juice for the squeeze, as they say. I'm of the belief that maintaining a consistent work flow in the way the blocks are handled is better than trying to squeeze extra functionality out of something and making the experience of using it clunkier.

  6. Thanks Brazzy, I appreciate the helpful comment. I have already exhausted every setting I can access and still no reaction from the top 'rec, play, undo' buttons. I really think I have a glitch that is preventing the message from the buttons to the amp. I was hoping to bypass the top buttons by plugging in a foot pedal, but I'm not exactly sure which pedal to buy. None of the sites that offer the many pedals available are specific enough to say if it will work on the 'spider jam' and more specifically, whether it will have the 'rec, play, undo' features through the pedal. This has become very confusing and tiresome for me. Thinking maybe I'm just going in the wrong direction all together. I already have a full time job. I just wanna jam man! Any info on a simple, specific model of pedal that would for sure offer those features would be very helpful. rarellono mentioned the fvb short board pedal. It seems like a lot of pedal for what I'm trying to accomplish. Good god, this is like doing my taxes at this point.

  7. If you go back to playback sound device and select inactivate/disable (I have swedish version so something similar and press OK, you should be good. Now you can't use it as sound card but everything else should work. I acually use it this way as I had the same problem. Cheers /Per

  8. Hello, Yes this is totally possible! 1) Connect Helix to USB 2) Ableton>Preferences>MIDI Sync 3) Select Helix as a control surface (INPUT & OUTPUT) 4) Track & Remote should also be active (ON Button) 5) See attached Screenshots 6) On HELIX, go to Menu (3 Stripes) & Select Command Centre (Satellite Logo) 7) Select a footswitch (In your Case the Bank switch) 8) Scroll to Midi Note, Select the highest value G9 in this case, & work your way back when mapping 9) Helps to not clash with other MIDI notes if all in is selected 10) Edit as desire & select ok 11) In Ableton, top right corner select the MIDI button ( Live changes to a BLUE color) 12) This is midi map mode, now select the play button under the master section (SCENE) 13) Click the footswitch you mapped on HELIX & it will map in Ableton 14) A script will appear on the left side of the screen 15) Repeat as desire 16) Exit the MIDI map mode & everything should work I will be posting some videos of this topic shortly. Just trying to get time to get it recorded. Hope this helps!!!
