  1. OP here - I sent my guitar and the G10 to a tech (a well-known one) and he said he tried everything and the noise would never disappear. So my question is: do you use the G10 with an acoustic guitar fitted with an active system and there's no such noise in addition to the signal? If so what's your pickup system?
  2. Same problem for me with my first G10. I sent it back and it's now my second...
  3. Well sort of but not that loud. This noise is added to the sound of the guitar. You can still hear the guitar sound.
  4. I've just bought a mono to mono TR adapter (the one recommended on L6 website) and plugged the G10 in it but the problem is still there - The G10 generates a high pitched frequency with my Martin.
  5. Yesterday I had to send the G10 back to the shop because it would not charge any more. I left the transmitter on its dock for hours and hours but the light only blinked red :-( I'm now waiting for a new one. I must say I bought the G10 for its simplicity but up to now I'm not convinced...
  6. Actually the problem is not that I have no sound but rather that there's a high frequency noise that's added to the sound.
  7. Thank you. From what I understand that means I have to reverse the connections to the sleeve and the ring in the jack inside the guitar. Do you confirm?
  8. Good idea! I've just tried a Y cable with 2 male mono jacks on one end and 1 female mono jack on the other. I plug 1 male jack to the guitar and the G10 in the female jack. And guess what? The noise disappears. What does that mean? Can I just rewire the guitar output jack?
  9. Hi, I have a Martin HD28 acoustic guitar with a Dtar Wavelength pickup. Until recently I used a cable to plug my guitar to the DI box. I bought a Line6 G10 wireless system and I plugged it on my Martin. The problem is that there's now a high frequency noise that's added to the audio of the guitar in the PA. I tried the same wireless system with my Telecaster and there's no noise. I also tried it with a friend's acoustic guitar fitted with the Dtar Wavelength pickup and there's no noise... The only difference between my Wavelength and my friend's Wavelength is that it has a Volume and Tone whereas I have none. What do you think could cause such a noise. Thank you for your help. Cheers
  10. Thank you for the detailed reply. I realize that instead of OD models you can use the gain of an amp but can you assign various levels of gain to different foot switches?
  11. Are the "real" OD pedals really better than their emulated versions in the Helix? Did you compare them? I am a bit skeptical as to the quality of the Helix OD pedals...

    Helix Eb tuning

I mean polyphonically, like the Pog2.

    Helix Eb tuning

If detuning works with chords, why doesn't it work with octaves?
  14. There's no auto-volume delay in the Helix? Why not? If I buy the Helix I plan to keep my EHX POG2 since the Helix cannot do polyphonic sounds. I also have a Xotic SP parallel compressor and I might keep it because I'm not sure how good the Helix comp are.
  15. Good! That means that depending on the preset I can send each guitar to 2 different stereo inputs on the mixing desk.
  16. Hi, I intend to use 2 guitars with the Helix (1 acoustic and 1 electric) but I would like that each guitar has its own stereo out. Is that possible? For instance, one guitar through the XLR stereo outputs and the other guitar through the 1/4" stereo outputs. Thank you. Cheers
  17. Is this procedure explained somewhere? I can go to a recording studio, use good gear and record my acoustic guitar but then how can I convert that to an IR and use it in the Helix?
  18. Hi, Do you need a DI if you plug your acoustic to the helix? What about IRs? Can you use an IR sound of an acoustic and mix it to your acoustic piezzo sound (ala Fishman Aura Spectrum)? Cheers
  19. I did it in front of a combo but found it noisy and the dirt pedals did not sound very good.
  20. Could you please give more details, I think I experienced this problem.
  21. Thank you SiWatts69! Your procedure is correct. I could not find that procedure in the manual.
  22. Sorry I was unclear. Here are 2 screenshots. It's the controller that is on the bottom right of the screen (FX Cut).
