  1. Read as: resale value of my Helix just went up. Yay! (sorry not sorry)
  2. At this point in time, wouldn't it be better to wait for the Pod Go? Seems like a far better solution if being used as more of an all-in-one solution, and cheaper than the Stomp, too.
  3. Probably your best bet is to buy a new one, unless it is still under warranty :/
  4. I don't have tons of recording experience but I would think that you want studio monitors for mixing. Electronic instruments should have their own amps/speakers, no? If the purpose is for everyone to hear themselves while jamming live, then get PA speakers. Not sure what your intent exactly is.
  5. Hmm... according to Line6.com/software G10 Transmitter Version 1.04 Released 9/13/16 G10 Receiver At this time, there is no software available that matches your selection. Seems like the receiver firmware is indeed still at 1.00, however the transmitter should update.
  6. Like @tooloudtoobad said... an effects loop is to place effects between the amp and the speaker... with PC+ the amp is still modeled on the modeler, it is only modeling the speaker.

    Helix 2.9

As far as you can tell.

    What's the difference? ;)

    Helix 2.9

According to the great American philosopher William James, now is 12 seconds long :) http://philsci-archive.pitt.edu/10721/1/andersen_devOfSpeciousPresentchapter.pdf
  10. I thought that the fact that he was using a PC+ means his live tone is even more reproducible - if you have a PC+, which I do :) I get what you're saying about sitting in the mix though. It would just be fun for playing along with the track. *edit* Also for seeing what a "professional" patch used in that genre looks like.
  11. Refer to price tag, size, and existence of the Helix.
  12. I saw Thrice play live on Friday in North Carolina... they played through their whole Vheissu album, it was amazing of course. I knew that the frontman Dust Kensrue played a Helix, I was delighted to see that this time around he also had a PC+ 212 he was playing through. I knew he was taking advantage of speaker modeling because I could see the ring was lighting up two different colors. Does anyone know if Thrice has made their Helix & PC+ patches available anywhere?
  13. I think others have said this by now... but if you're trying to recreate a precise sound from a real amp then you might want to try getting the sound from a real amp first... that way you know your guitar is capable of making the required dry signal when you bring it to the helix.
  14. FWIW... I have the G10S and it works great. There are a lot of complaints about the G10 and G10S... maybe there is bad quality control but mine has always worked great. If you try it out and don't have any problems in the first few sessions, then it probably won't give you any issues after that either.
  15. Can you get the sound you're looking for on another setup?
  16. Understood... You can create a preset for every conceivable sound/configuration you want, the downside will be getting a momentary muting while switching presets and you'll lose any reverb/delay trails.
  17. I guess I don't understand... the scenario you are describing is exactly what snapshot mode is. What's the reason for wanting to be in stompbox mode?
  18. It utilizes snapshots, so yes.
  19. Sounds good! Did you do this completely solo? I'm no professional professional but it seems mixed very well. And the songwriting is good.
  20. Some people like to hook random things to their bags. I don't use it for anything, but you could use it for bulky items, i.e. cables.
  21. I agree with rd2rk, don't try to use Bluetooth, the latency will be too high. Perhaps try a gaming headset that uses RF to achieve low latency, such as SteelSeries Arctis Pro.
  22. I think its a global setting that got reset
  23. @john0255 Toggle over to the rightmost block, it looks like an arrow pointing the right. That is your audio out. Make sure it is either going to Multi or Digital. My guess is it is only going to 1/4" right now. Edit: P.S. Page 15 of the Helix manual
