2.0 It's Been A While
Geech replied to Melissiah's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I would be mad but I'm too busy shredding my JTV. -
For me it seems every time I update my iDevices it turns off the microphone access for my apps. Turning it back on "fixed" it.
-
same here for both my iPad3 and iPhone 4s with newest update. Neither my sonic port or Mobile In works. It sees it then forgets it.

Just thinking out loud but is there any way to pitch shift just one string via pod HD?
-
Any stand that will hold a guitar with a 1/4 inch plug will work. Or has so far with mine.

On To My 4th Jtv No Luck So Far - Distortion

just an FYI I'm sure you are aware of. But you cant attack the guitar like an acoustic while playing acoustic models. You really have to change some of your playing habits. or at least I did. If I bang my JTV like I would an acoustic, it sounds terrible. If it doesn't help you it might help someone else Hope you get it figured out. -
Who Has A Completely Working Jtv Guitar?
Geech replied to spmartin's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I have a 59 that has been spot on since early March when i bought it. i use alt tunings almost all the time and only models. Only use the mags when tuning. knock on wood ;) -
Transcribe! is perfect for what I need. Thanks again.

Thanks I've been wondering about that. Most of the stuff I want to jam with is like 4 cents out either way. I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

I've never been happier about a musical purchase. It might not be the most expensive guitar I own but it is the only one I play. Mostly for the tunings. I play a TON of stuff in alt tunings and really slack tunings and this thing has been a blessing. Add that to everything else it does and I love it to death. I've been jamming in a cover band lately and this thing is built just for that IMO. It covers EVERYTHING. I have a 59 now and will be buying a 89f eventually just for whammy fun. I'll also probably buy a broke or really cheap JTV down the line just to put the guts in one of my PRS guitars. Also, everyone that hears it before they know what it is, loves it. Once you tell them what it does, they all of a sudden "hear the differences" 5 it is. edit: I also own a HD500 and together it's HEAVEN!!

It would be nice to be able to adjust just 6 string model strings in cents to play along with some recordings without having to physically tune the guitar. If it can be done in WB HD I can't figure it out.

Post Your "wishlist" For The Next Update!

micro tuning for 6 string guitars. ex. each half step broken into cents for tuning to slightly out of tune recordings etc. -
Is there a way to do 6 string micro tunings like 1/4 step down, "slightly flat", etc? I was thinking maybe a 12 with the original 6 turned off but then i think it's turning off the parallel string also. Any ideas? or am I missing an obvious feature? :P

Jtv-89's On Sale At Sweetwater For $699

At that price I might buy one just to rip the guts out to put in my PRS SE :P -
Open Tunings With Jtv 89
Geech replied to Sumatra_Gold's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Something else I forgot to mention. When you are using a tuning that is fairly slack, say 1 1/2 or more down, songs with huge bends on the first few frets are a monster because the strings don't actually slack. Helps build massive bend muscles though B)- 11 replies
