It work the same I can switch between Gibson, Acoustic and sitar and comeback ,No problem, because these preset ar saved on the Pod HD (forced and not forced) You can do the same , but without Editor , I mean directly from the Pod Most of time I don't use Editor ! .

The HD500X is old time now, they don't care about his unit and they are to busy with the Helix It's always the same with Line 6 stuff People asking too remove the looper block and that can be put in or out, they never do anything for that , but hell yeah it was a very good idea,, so they put it on the Helix (lol) There is a bug that never be fixed and a lot of years now, sometimes when you launch HD Edit, presets are disappear or take another place and you get it 2 times in another setlist (never be fixed) And I think they never add new fx on it.

yes I have an idea, do like me buy a good looper, because The looper of the HD desktop & also HD 500X is awesome bad too play with it. After 2 or 3 overdub you get a very bad sound whatever you do ! I had the HD DESKTOP (sell it) and now the 500X, looper very bad on both ! It's seem that the output is mono . But is really good too create a new preset just set it in begin,play something and create a sound!
